The Opportunity

We are looking for a Risk Mitigation Analyst to join the Risk Management team, reporting to the Risk Mitigation Lead. In this role, you’ll be responsible for executing tasks for the purpose of risk management, risk mitigation, and claim subrogation for our residential real estate insurance product. You will make a contribution to improving the company’s performance and profitability, aiming to reduce claims severity and improve relationships with customers, clients, and other stakeholders. The ideal candidates should have strong communications skills and attention to detail, and have an interest in real estate, insurance, and customer services.


Responsibilities

  • Manage, prevent and mitigate potential renter default claims through customer outreach 
  • Understand claim components, move-out statements, lease contracts, and ledger information to navigate renter through their financial obligations.
  • Negotiate recovery payments with renters to collect debt
  • Communicate with customers and help them navigate lease changes and other rental requests 
  • Use a Customer Relationship Management program (CRM) and various outreach programs to execute and automate the outreach process
  • Communicate and assist property owners and property managers with various renter requests 
  • Review and improve communication templates such as phone scripts and email templates
  • Collaborate with claim mitigation vendors such as law firms and credit bureaus

Base Salary

The base salary range is between $65,000 - $75,000 annually (up to $87,000 with bonus)

Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors, including prior experience, expertise, location and current market data and may vary from the range above.
