This person will be responsible for providing consultations to specialty construction and infrastructure clients mainly in the Southeast and Midwest United States (U.S.), but this role may also travel throughout the United States or internationally. This role provides clients with strategic safety leadership and assists with implementing and carrying out best practices for clients to meet or exceed industry safety standards. Previous fleet safety management and construction safety experience is preferred. This role will assist with everything from basic auto safety to providing risk management consultations for huge crane operations and transit to job sites.&nbsp;</span></li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>REQUIRED:</strong></span> <strong>Candidates willing &amp; able to travel up to 60% of the time, as work needs dictate.</strong> Travel by air will be 25-50% of the time, mostly in the south and southeast part of the United States. This role will also have to travel to our Birmingham, AL office at least once a month to meet with the team. When not traveling to client sites or to Birmingham, this role will work from home.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><strong><span style="text-decoration: underline;">Candidates who live near the following cities are strongly preferred:</span> Atlanta GA, Baton Rouge LA, Birmingham AL, Dallas TX, or Houston TX.</strong></li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Experienced safety professionals who are ready to take their expertise to the next level by providing risk management and consultative services to a variety of construction &amp; infrastructure clients, specifically regarding the safety of their vehicle and heavy equipment operations.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><strong>WHAT YOU’LL DO:</strong><strong> </strong></span></p><p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">A detailed list of job duties includes (but is not limited to):</span><br><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">• Complete safety surveys to ensure clients’ compliance with governmental safety regulations (DOL – OSHA/MSHA, DOT – FMCSA, Basic EPA rules), Life safety codes (NFPA), and sound safety principles. <br>• Provide compliance and safety consulting services to clients engaged in a variety of industries, but especially in construction and infrastructure. <br>• Analyze client claims experience and accident/incident data (Workers Comp losses, OSHA Citation history, Auto Claims, roadside inspections, moving violations) to determine trends and develop/recommend control programs to minimize losses. <br>• Develop service strategies for risk control programs. <br>• Monitor account safety services to ensure that delivery is proper, on time, and cost effective. <br>• Assist clients with governmental safety agency inspections, accident investigations, and recordkeeping efforts (including but not limited to OSHA, MSHA, and DOT). Maintain client files for auditing purposes. <br>• Train client management teams and employees/drivers in compliance and safety practices. <br>• Assist clients in writing, developing and implementing effective Safety Programs and SOP's. <br>• Develop and implement safety training programs for client management teams and employees. <br>• Coordinate client activities and needs with other EPIC departments, as needed, to ensure all of clients’ risk and insurance needs are properly being met.</span></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><strong>WHAT YOU’LL BRING:</strong><strong>&nbsp;</strong></span></p><p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">• <span style="text-decoration: underline;"><strong>Required: </strong></span>Minimum 10 years’ experience in Environmental, Health &amp; Safety role; OR a Bachelor’s Degree in the Field of Occupational Safety and Health, Industrial Hygiene or Risk Management and minimum 5 years’ experience in Environmental, Health &amp; Safety role <br>• Preferred: A professional certification (CSP, CIH, ARM, CDS, CECM, CIHM) or other designations (ARM, CDS, CECM, CIHM, etc.). <br>• Expert knowledge of effective safety management principles for multi-site corporations in the construction and infrastructure industries. <br>• Ability to travel up to 60% to meet work demands. Travel by Air is expected 25-50% of travel time. Short-notice travel regularly occurs 10% of the travel expectations. <br>• Expert knowledge of DOT regulations and OSHA codes is expected. Basic knowledge of FMCSA, MSHA, NFPA, EPA codes and their application is expected. <br>• Must be well organized and demonstrate the ability to manage multiple priorities, deliver timely and accurate work products with customer service focus, and respond with a sense of urgency. <br>• Effective written/verbal communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with all levels of personnel. <br>• Ability to provide effective training presentations to audiences. <br>• Ability to build and maintain client relationships and resolve complex problems. <br>• Proficient in the use of personal computers and supporting software in a Windows-based environment, including MS Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Data analysis proficiency is expected. <br>• Sound work ethic and the ability to work with limited supervision.</span></p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;"><strong>COMPENSATION: </strong></span></p><p><span style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">The national average annual salary for this role is $110,000.00 - $135,000.00 in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits.
