As an Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and building strategies to help develop and maintain relationships with clients throughout the audit and accounting process.

You Will:
  • Drive efficiency in resource deployment.
  • Coordinate and lead departmental scheduling meetings to address resource needs, conflicts, and any other issues.
  • Monitor staff utilization and determine appropriate resources or solutions to balance workload and monitor progress toward chargeable hour goals.
  • Coordinate reassignments for terminated/LOA employees.
  • Use scheduling/project management tools and reports to forecast hours needed, track actual vs scheduled utilization, and monitor total headcount.
  • Analyze weekly staff schedules and availability reports.
  • Continuously build strong relationships to drive resourcing initiatives, and develop resources along their desired career and skill paths.
  • Balancing the needs of staff and clients for the purpose of maximizing utilization and the experience of the staff.
  • Review staff utilization/headcount report with Resource Leadership and discuss plans to address efficiency.
  • Interact with Human Resources staff firm-wide to coordinate new hire schedules, training schedules, and other HR related activity including performance evaluations.
  • Onboard and train new employees on scheduling policies and procedures.
  • Ad-hoc projects as requested.


You Have:
  • B.A. degree OR equivalent work experience.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years in a professional services role, project management experience, and/or HR experience OR 1-2 years in a resource planning/coordinating role.
  • Familiarity with public accounting, a plus
  • Excellent time management, prioritization and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent client service, learning agility, data analytical, and change management skills.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of employees from entry level to partners.
  • Strong computer skills – Outlook, Excel, Word; Familiarity with Retain, PowerBI, and CCH Workstream/Workflow are a plus.
  • Ability to train new and existing users on software usage and capabilities.
  • Remote position, however, there are opportunities to work in one of our office locations if preferred.
  • Flexibility to work with international resources and teams.


$65,000 - $85,000 a year
The salary range provided is intended for candidates in the San Francisco Bay Area who meet the minimum requirements of the position.  Candidates who do not reside in the San Francisco Bay Area, do not meet the minimum requirements, or exceed the requirements are encouraged to apply and a recruiter will provide you with a range specific to your location and qualifications.
