This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Certified Coder based in the United States.

This part-time, project-based opportunity is designed for a doctoral student seeking practical experience in applied research and evaluation.
You will work closely with a faculty Principal Investigator and contribute to meaningful, real-world research initiatives.
The role centers on mixed-methods research, including qualitative inquiry, process evaluation, and collaborative data interpretation.
You will support projects focused on improving outcomes for youth through data-informed decision-making and continuous learning.
The position offers hands-on exposure to interviews, focus groups, surveys, observations, data analysis, and research synthesis.
You will help translate complex findings into clear, actionable insights for diverse stakeholders.
This is a collaborative, fully remote opportunity suited to a detail-oriented researcher eager to strengthen their applied research capabilities.


Accountabilities
  • Support the implementation of mixed-methods research and evaluation activities, including interviews, focus groups, surveys, and observations.
  • Manage research data by cleaning, organizing, documenting, and preparing information for analysis.
  • Conduct qualitative coding and thematic analysis under the guidance of the faculty Principal Investigator.
  • Assist with quantitative analysis, including descriptive statistics and basic trend analysis.
  • Contribute to process mapping and documentation of workflows, partnerships, and project dynamics.
  • Synthesize research findings in alignment with evaluation questions and learning objectives.
  • Help develop reports, learning briefs, presentations, and data visualizations.
  • Translate technical research findings into accessible and actionable insights for non-technical audiences.
  • Participate in project meetings, partner convenings, and collaborative sensemaking sessions.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure assigned deliverables are completed on time.
  • Take on additional research and project-support responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree from a regionally accredited institution, preferably in psychology, organizational leadership, public administration, education, or a related field.
  • Current enrollment in a doctoral program, preferably in psychology, organizational leadership, public administration, education, or a related discipline.
  • Graduate-level experience with qualitative, quantitative, or mixed-methods research methodologies.
  • Previous experience in program evaluation, applied research, or community-based research is preferred.
  • Experience working in education, workforce development, public health, nonprofit, or similarly mission-driven environments is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present research clearly to varied audiences.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking capabilities, including the ability to interpret data and draw well-supported conclusions.
  • Familiarity with qualitative research tools such as NVivo and/or quantitative tools such as SPSS, R, or comparable platforms is preferred.
  • Knowledge of equity-centered, participatory, or community-engaged research approaches.
  • Experience working with diverse or underserved populations.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a collaborative environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to transform complex research outputs into clear, accessible formats for non-technical stakeholders.

  • Compensation: $20.00 per hour.
