The MSI Renters Business Segment Leader will lead all sales and business development aspects of growing the renters and renters adjacent programs while developing long-term relationships with our strategic partners. This individual will report directly into the President, Multi-family and will be responsible for developing MSI’s go to market strategy for the renters business, working along-side the Product, Client Success, Marketing, Operations and Technology teams to build and cultivate a variety of programs.

Responsibilities

  • Grow net revenue of the existing embedded renters programs by gleaning insights from competitors in the space and incubating new ideas
  • Establish and manage day-to-day relationships with key partners while co-developing new solutions to deepen existing client relationships and perpetuate profitable growth
  • Keep up to date on industry trends, competition, and new opportunities, while maintaining a consistent presence in the proptech agency market
  • Work closely with other MSI teams (Product, Client Success, Marketing, Operations and Technology teams) to build out enhancements and fulfill client needs
  • Develop and implement business performance evaluation framework for large clients, influencing actions to drive mutual success
  • Facilitate the sale of additional program offerings to key clients such as tenant legal liability coverage, tracking services and real estate investor programs
  • As a leader at MSI, set a behavioral example for building relationships with MSI cross functional teams, creating alignment and championing both successes and areas of opportunity

Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in a Business, Economics, Marketing or Engineering field, or equivalent years’ experience.
  • Personal lines insurance experience required, renters preferred.
  • 5+ years of managing strategic partnerships and delivering consistent outcomes
  • Strong understanding of technology concepts and ability to learn MSI proprietary tech platform and capabilities
  • Ability to demonstrate a sense of urgency to resolve problems and meet client, carrier, and market expectations of service
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work autonomously when not directly supervised day to day
  • Ability to travel up to 35% to visit existing clients, potential prospects, industry conferences, and other MSI / BRP offices
