Remote Chief Financial Officer

This role is pivotal in leading financial activities for the business unit, driving strategic financial objectives, and ensuring compliance across state requirements. The CFO will oversee the development of financial plans, analyze trends, and guide initiatives to improve medical costs. In addition, this position serves as the main liaison with Corporate Finance, ensuring that the financial operations align with corporate goals. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience in finance while fostering a culture of financial excellence and accountability.

• Oversee all finance activities for the business unit, including annual operating plan development.
• Conduct financial analysis and forecast, including headcount planning.
• Identify medical cost trends and lead cost improvement initiatives.
• Perform financial impact analysis for new contracts and support negotiations.
• Review monthly performance and provide strategic recommendations to senior management.
• Facilitate communication between Corporate Finance and the Business Unit.
• Establish financial strategic vision and policies supporting the overall plan.
• Oversee pricing models and lead efficiency initiatives.
• Direct health plan analytical needs and coordinate reporting.
• Act as lead for internal and external audits.

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration required.
• Master's Degree preferred.
• 10+ years in a high-level finance role within the healthcare or insurance industry.
• CPA preferred.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Experience with compliance and regulatory requirements.
