This role is a key leadership position within a fast-growing telehealth environment, responsible for overseeing patient registration operations that directly support access to care nationwide. You will lead a team ensuring accurate patient intake, insurance verification, and compliant data management across digital healthcare systems. The position combines operational oversight, regulatory compliance, and team leadership in a highly dynamic healthcare setting. You will play a critical role in optimizing registration workflows, improving patient onboarding experiences, and maintaining high standards of data integrity. Working remotely, you will collaborate closely with IT, clinical, billing, and customer service teams to enhance end-to-end efficiency. This is a high-impact role where leadership, process improvement, and healthcare expertise come together to support scalable and compliant telehealth operations.


Accountabilities
  • Oversee daily patient registration operations, ensuring accurate data entry, insurance verification, and efficient onboarding processes.
  • Lead, coach, and develop the registration team, including performance management, training, and career development planning.
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve standard operating procedures for patient intake and registration workflows.
  • Ensure all registration processes comply with HIPAA regulations, patient privacy standards, and healthcare compliance requirements.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze registration metrics, and identify opportunities for operational improvement.
  • Collaborate with IT, clinical, and support teams to streamline workflows and resolve system or process inefficiencies.
  • Manage offshore team performance and optimize distributed workflow execution.
  • Oversee administrative responsibilities including scheduling, payroll tracking, and performance evaluations.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to revenue cycle and patient data management processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in healthcare registration, patient services, or revenue cycle operations, including 2+ years in a leadership role.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end revenue cycle processes, billing requirements, and healthcare operations.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations, patient privacy standards, and telehealth workflows.
  • Experience managing and developing both onshore and offshore teams in a remote or distributed environment.
  • Proficiency in EHR systems, CRM platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical skills with experience using tools such as Excel, pivot tables, or similar reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and commitment to operational excellence.
