This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Regional Medical Director in the United States.

This is a mission-driven clinical leadership role focused on transforming care delivery for Medicaid populations through a blend of medical expertise, population health strategy, and technology-enabled care models. You will serve as a key clinical leader overseeing multidisciplinary care teams across multiple regions, helping guide complex patient care decisions and ensuring high-quality outcomes. The role sits at the intersection of clinical practice, healthcare innovation, and community-based support, with a strong emphasis on integrated behavioral and physical health. You will collaborate closely with care teams, operations leaders, and health system stakeholders to improve care coordination and patient outcomes. Acting as both supervisor and educator, you will help shape clinical best practices while working within an evolving AI-supported care platform. This position offers the opportunity to directly influence healthcare delivery for underserved populations at scale.

Accountabilities:
  • Provide clinical oversight through weekly multidisciplinary rounds, reviewing complex patient cases and guiding care strategies across regional teams
  • Serve as the primary physician reviewer for escalated cases within an AI-supported care navigation platform, applying clinical judgment to prioritize interventions
  • Deliver monthly case-based clinical education sessions alongside a co-medical lead for care teams including CHWs, pharmacists, and behavioral health providers
  • Offer real-time and asynchronous clinical supervision to licensed clinicians and care team members, including urgent patient escalations when needed
  • Participate in rotating on-call coverage for rare after-hours clinical escalations
  • Partner with regional operations leaders to support quality performance, outcomes improvement, and population health goals
  • Act as a clinical representative in discussions with health systems, payers, and executive stakeholders
  • Contribute to ongoing clinical guideline development and quality improvement initiatives across care programs
  • Support alignment between clinical operations, technology platforms, and care delivery workflows

Requirements:

  • MD or DO degree with active, unrestricted U.S. medical license and eligibility for multi-state licensure
  • Board certification in family medicine, internal medicine, med-peds, or emergency medicine
  • 3–5+ years of post-residency clinical experience, ideally in safety-net, FQHC, urgent care, or population health settings
  • Experience supervising multidisciplinary teams, including both licensed clinicians and non-clinical care staff
  • Strong background in integrated behavioral health, substance use care, and complex social determinants of health
  • Familiarity with population health, Medicaid systems, or value-based care models
  • Comfort working in technology-enabled or AI-supported clinical environments
  • Strong communication skills with ability to engage both frontline care teams and executive-level stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving startup-like healthcare environment
  • Experience with quality improvement or care model innovation is a plus

Benefits:

  • Competitive salary ranging from $207,000 to $267,000
  • Stock options with long-term growth potential
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage
  • Life insurance and disability coverage
  • Paid time off including 20 vacation days and 11 holidays
  • Paid parental leave (up to 16 weeks for birthing parents, 8 weeks for non-birthing parents)
  • 401(k) retirement plan with company contribution
  • Home office setup stipend and commuter benefits
  • Professional development stipend for continued learning and growth
  • Fully remote work flexibility with mission-driven clinical impact
