Responsibilities

  • Receive and inspect incoming shipments to verify quantity and quality against purchase orders.
  • Accurately record all received materials in the inventory management system.
  • Report any damaged or missing items to the appropriate departments promptly.
  • Coordinate with purchasing and warehouse teams to ensure smooth flow of materials.
  • Maintain organized and clean receiving areas to comply with safety standards.
  • Assist in unloading shipments and ensure proper storage of materials.
  • Communicate with suppliers and carriers regarding shipment statuses and discrepancies.
  • Prepare and maintain receiving reports and related documentation.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a Receiving Clerk or in a similar role within the construction industry.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts is a plus.
  • Proficient with inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical ability to lift and carry heavy materials when required.
