This role plays a critical part in enabling effective operational planning and informed decision-making within research and development teams. You will provide accurate resource demand forecasts, supply analyses, and actionable insights to support strategic portfolio management. Partnering closely with project teams, functional leaders, and finance, you will maintain and enhance forecasting methodologies, ensure data quality, and contribute to continuous process improvements. The position offers exposure to cross-functional collaboration in a dynamic, science-driven environment with opportunities to influence strategic decisions across multiple projects. Accountabilities

  • Deliver periodic resource forecasts and analyses, collaborating with functional leadership, finance, and portfolio teams to inform operational planning.
  • Partner with project teams and functional leaders to interpret portfolio changes, assess resourcing impacts, and provide recommendations for anticipated needs.
  • Coordinate and manage forecasting algorithms, ensuring assumptions align with operational realities and updating methodologies based on insights.
  • Communicate portfolio trends and operational impacts to stakeholders, building trusted relationships and supporting decision-making.
  • Lead or contribute to process improvement initiatives, enhancing forecasting accuracy, operational efficiency, and system usability.
  • Maintain high standards of data quality and reporting, contributing to dashboards and tools that increase visibility and scalability.
  • Manage special projects and ad hoc initiatives, applying structured, analytical approaches in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • Doctorate degree OR Master’s degree with 2+ years experience OR Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years experience OR Associate degree with 8+ years experience OR High School diploma/GED with 10+ years experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in life sciences, biopharmaceutical clinical product development, or related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of planning, forecasting, and data analysis methodologies.
  • Familiarity with clinical trials operations, drug development lifecycle, and portfolio management processes.
  • Experience with resourcing and project management applications (Planisware preferred).
  • Advanced computer skills including Excel, Access, Spotfire, Tableau, and PowerBI.
  • Understanding of financial management, budget processes, and project valuation metrics.
  • Excellent qualitative and quantitative analytical skills.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, with ability to explain complex concepts clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
