Job Description

Crown’s Quality Control Analyst will be responsible for assessing product or service quality, identifying defects or deviations from standards, and implementing corrective actions to maintain or improve quality levels. Core duties include conducting inspections and audits of site survey, site design and system integration processes, materials, components, and finished products to identify quality issues for new Air Traffic Control (ATC) Radar Systems.  The role also requires collecting and analyzing quality data, metrics, and performance indicators to evaluate process capabilities and drive continuous improvement initiatives.  Quality control in the FAA air traffic control system is a structured process designed to assess the output of specific processes or functions at the Service Delivery Point (SDP) to identify deficiencies, risks, or problems that require corrective action. It is a key component of our Safety Management System, focusing on ensuring that air traffic services meet established requirements and standards. Quality control and safety risk management activities are integral components of a robust quality management system (QMS), working together to ensure product integrity, regulatory compliance, and personnel safety. 

 

This is a Part-time Position. 

Qualifications

Candidates with a Bachelor's degree in engineering, quality management, industrial technology, or a related field, and professional certification in quality management (e.g., ASQ CQE, CQM) is considered a plus. Proven experience in quality control or quality assurance roles, preferably in a production environment is required. Knowledge of quality management principles, methodologies, and tools such as ISO 9001, Six Sigma, and statistical analysis techniques is essential. Familiarity with industry-specific quality standards and regulations—such as FDA regulations or ISO standards—is also important.

Key skills include strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and proficiency in quality control software and tools like statistical analysis software and quality management systems (QMS). The ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and customers to resolve quality issues is critical. Leadership and teamwork abilities are valued, especially for roles involving the management of quality improvement projects or training staff.  Having a background or familiarization with FAA ATC Radar Systems a Plus.
