We are looking for a QA Tester to join our fully remote team to the ensure quality Polydex, our desktop 3D asset browser, as well as our custom 3D software plugins. This role is perfect for someone who’s technically curious, detail-oriented, and enjoys working across a wide range of creative tools - from 3D software plugins to standalone desktop applications.
You’ll lead efforts in both manual and automated testing, identify QA process improvements, source new 3D assets to further validate our tools, and help us ship reliable, artist-friendly software used by professionals around the world.
Test desktop application builds from our CI/CD pipeline to ensure new development meets requirements and avoids regressions
Test 3D software plugins in Blender, 3ds Max, and Cinema 4D to confirm intended functionality
Define automated tests using Python scripting in pre-existing test environments
Source 3D assets to expand test coverage of our universal asset detection system and uncover edge cases
Assist with escalated customer issues by reproducing bugs and providing technical triage
Collaborate with developers while validating release candidates
Document features clearly for both internal QA and external end users
Improve QA workflows by identifying gaps in coverage, process, or tooling
1+ years in QA, technical testing, or related roles
Experience testing desktop or other non-web applications
Basic proficiency in Python
Strong understanding of manual testing and structured bug reporting
Bonus for experience working with 3D assets or software
Basic proficiency in Python for writing test scripts
Basic proficiency writing and executing SQL queries
Familiarity with 3D softwares and assets
Understanding of QA principles such as end-to-end and regression testing
Comfortable using bug tracking tools and Git-based workflows
Have an eye for detail, testing outside the box, and enjoy breaking things
Are curious to learn more about how 3D applications work
Communicate clearly in both realtime meetings and asynchronous channels
Are comfortable balancing priorities between QA, customer feedback, and expanded test coverage needs
