Position Description:

ParTech, Inc. is seeking a Quality Assurance Automation Engineer (Co-op) to join our Brink Point-of-Sale (POS) software development team. Under general supervision and adhering to established procedures for quality assurance, the QA Automation Engineer (Co-op) will design and implement test strategies related to POS software. This role will coordinate, create, execute, and maintain test cases to ensure quality control standards are achieved. Responsibilities include system, regression, performance, and scalability testing to meet quality objectives.

Brink is a next-generation, cloud-based POS system for the restaurant industry that is quickly becoming a market leader. Our Brink Quality Assurance Team is a cohesive group of high performers passionate about ensuring quality in product releases through a mix of automated and manual testing.

What We’re Looking For:

• Studies in Computer Science/Engineering or related field required

• Some experience in C#, Java, JavaScript, Python, or Ruby

Additional skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work collaboratively in a Scrum team environment

• Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills

Unleash your potential: What you will be doing and owning:

• Collaborate closely with Scrum team to monitor and provide feedback to ensure product quality

• Design test strategies and test cases for complex systems

• Execute various types of testing (functional, integration, end-to-end) on multiple platforms (mobile, web, portal frameworks)

• Create and execute automated test cases and report results

• Maintain automated test scripts to meet release deliverables and project requirements

• Document anomalies or defects with clear reproduction steps

• Conduct test case reviews and ensure requirements traceability

• Perform root cause analysis of defects and provide detailed reports
