Python + AWS

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Python + AWS Engineer based in United States.

This role sits within a modern, fully remote engineering environment focused on building and delivering scalable backend services across distributed, international teams. You will contribute to the design, development, and optimization of cloud-native applications using Python and AWS, supporting business-critical systems and APIs. The position involves close collaboration with cross-functional and multicultural teams working on innovative, fast-evolving digital products. You will help ensure system reliability, performance, and security while contributing to API design and backend architecture decisions. Accountabilities:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs using Python, ensuring high performance, reliability, and maintainability.
Build and deploy cloud-based solutions on AWS, leveraging services for compute, storage, networking, and serverless architectures.
Design and document APIs using OpenAPI specifications while ensuring strong API security and adherence to best practices.
Collaborate with distributed engineering teams to deliver features in an agile, iterative development environment.
Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance existing systems to improve performance, scalability, and security.
Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and architecture decisions to ensure engineering quality and consistency.
Work closely with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Requirements:

3+ years of professional experience in backend development using Python and/or Java.
Strong hands-on experience working with AWS cloud services and building cloud-native applications.
Solid understanding of RESTful API design, OpenAPI specifications, and API security principles.
Experience building, deploying, and maintaining scalable backend systems in production environments.
Familiarity with distributed systems and working in remote, multicultural, and cross-functional teams.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to debug, optimize, and improve complex systems.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.
