This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Provider Relations Lead based in the United States.

The Provider Relations Lead will oversee strategic relationships between healthcare providers and a large-scale healthcare program, ensuring strong collaboration, communication, and service quality.
This role combines team leadership, healthcare operations expertise, and stakeholder engagement to improve provider experiences and outcomes.
You will lead provider relations initiatives, support network development, and serve as a key connection point between internal teams and external healthcare partners.
The position offers the opportunity to influence healthcare delivery processes while working within a growing, multi-year program environment.
You will collaborate with providers, government stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to address challenges and drive continuous improvement.

Accountabilities:

The Provider Relations Lead will be responsible for managing provider engagement strategies, leading a team of specialists, and ensuring effective communication and collaboration across healthcare stakeholders. This role requires strong leadership, operational expertise, and the ability to analyze provider needs while supporting program objectives.

  • Lead and manage a team of Provider Relations Specialists, including assigning responsibilities, providing coaching, supporting development, and conducting performance evaluations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare providers, including physicians, hospitals, clinics, healthcare organizations, and other provider entities.
  • Serve as the primary escalation point for complex provider questions, concerns, and relationship issues, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Educate providers on policies, procedures, services, and compliance requirements to improve understanding and engagement.
  • Develop and execute communication strategies and campaigns that support program initiatives and maintain consistent messaging.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to expand and optimize provider networks.
  • Monitor provider performance metrics and identify opportunities to improve service delivery and healthcare outcomes.
  • Ensure provider relations activities comply with regulatory requirements, contractual commitments, and accreditation standards.
  • Analyze provider data, prepare reports, and provide strategic insights to leadership teams.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying trends, challenges, and opportunities for operational enhancements.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate has experience in healthcare administration, managed care, and provider relations, with proven leadership abilities and strong stakeholder management skills. This role requires someone who can navigate complex healthcare environments, communicate effectively, and drive collaborative solutions.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field required.
  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare administration, provider relations, network management, or a related area.
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing provider-focused initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations, managed care principles, and payer-provider relationships.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify trends, and develop actionable recommendations.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with CRM platforms such as Salesforce is preferred.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and operate effectively in a changing healthcare environment.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across internal teams and external partners.
  • Must be located within the United States and able to work remotely.
