Make services possible by finding the right people.

Do you enjoy sourcing talent, conducting interviews, and building organized pipelines? Are you energized by connecting families with the people who make services actually happen?

NeuroNav is seeking a Provider & Direct Staff Sourcing Specialist to recruit, interview, vet, and coordinate both service providers and direct support staff for individuals and families participating in California’s Self-Determination Program (SDP). This role is ideal for candidates with HR, recruiting, or talent sourcing experience who want to apply their skills in a mission-driven, operationally focused environment.

About NeuroNav

Founded at Stanford in 2020 with support from the Stanford Innovation Fellowship, NeuroNav is modernizing disability services by helping families navigate California’s Self-Determination Program. We combine expert guidance with operational execution to remove barriers and turn approved plans into real, timely services.

What You’ll Do

Provider & Direct Staff Sourcing

  • Source, research, and recruit service providers and direct support staff (DSPs) across California based on client-specific needs and approved spending plans

  • Conduct proactive outreach through job boards, referrals, community networks, and internal databases

  • Build and maintain strong pipelines for ongoing and hard-to-fill roles

Interviewing & Vetting

  • Conduct phone and video interviews to assess qualifications, experience, reliability, and fit

  • Verify credentials, references, background checks, insurance, and licensing as required

  • Ensure candidates meet SDP, Regional Center, and Financial Management Services (FMS) requirements

Collaboration with Independent Facilitators

  • Work closely with Independent Facilitators (IFs) to understand staffing requests, service definitions, rates, and timelines

  • Provide regular updates on sourcing progress and flag risks or delays early

  • Coordinate candidate selection and next steps with IFs and families as appropriate

Provider & Staff Database Management

  • Maintain a centralized provider and direct staff database, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information on:

    • Contact details

    • Services and roles

    • Geographic coverage

    • Rates

    • Availability

    • Compliance and onboarding status

    • Client feedback

  • Use data to support faster matching, reporting, and operational handoffs

Onboarding & Operational Coordination

  • Support providers and staff through FMS onboarding and documentation collection (W-9s, agreements, proof of credentials, background checks, etc.)

  • Coordinate closely with NeuroNav’s operations and billing teams to ensure smooth transitions from sourcing to service delivery

  • Track onboarding progress and follow up to prevent service delays

Network Development & Process Improvement

  • Identify gaps in provider and staffing coverage by region or service type

  • Proactively source new providers and staff to strengthen NeuroNav’s network

  • Contribute to refining workflows, templates, and systems that improve efficiency, accuracy, and transparency

What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

  • Experience in recruiting, HR, talent sourcing, or staffing

  • Comfort conducting interviews and evaluating candidate fit

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple active searches simultaneously

  • Proficiency with spreadsheets, databases, and secure documentation tools

  • Reliable high-speed internet and a quiet remote workspace

Preferred Experience

  • Experience sourcing or recruiting direct support professionals (DSPs) or similar service-based roles

  • Experience working with contractors, providers, or independent workers

  • Familiarity with compliance requirements (background checks, credential verification, documentation tracking)

  • Interest in or exposure to disability services, healthcare, education, or social services

  • Familiarity with California’s Regional Center system, SDP, or FMS a plus, but not required

Candidates with strong HR, recruiting, or staffing backgrounds are encouraged to apply — SDP-specific training will be provided.

Why You’ll Love This Role

  • Mission-driven team with real impact for families

  • Ownership of provider and staff pipelines
