What You’ll Do:
The Project Manager – Technology @ Cross-Functional Delivery is a first dedicated role of its kind for our team. This person will be embedded within the tech org but operating cross-functionally, a bridge between engineering/technical teams and non-technical stakeholders — translating both directions fluently. Owning the structure and visibility of all active workstreams across the organization.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities also include:
Workstream & Delivery Management
- Maintain a live view of all workstreams: owners, status, milestones, and blockers
- Run planning ceremonies (kickoffs, sprint planning, reviews, retros) and keep them efficient
- Decompose initiatives into well-scoped tasks with clear owners and timelines
- Identify and resolve cross-functional dependencies before they become blockers
Technical Translation & Stakeholder Communication
- Translate technical work, trade-offs, and timelines into language non-technical stakeholders can act on
- Help the VP of Technology communicate progress, risks, and decisions to leadership and the broader org
- Prepare and deliver status updates, roadmap summaries, and exec briefings
- Field incoming requests from non-technical teams and route/scope them appropriately with engineering
Work Tracking & Best Practices
- Own the work-tracking system (e.g., Linear, Jira, Asana) and ensure it reflects ground truth
- Define standards for how tasks are written, estimated, tagged, and updated
- Build dashboards that give leadership real-time visibility without manual status updates
- Run retrospectives and continuously improve how the team plans and executes
What You'll Bring
Must Haves:
- 4–7 years of PM or program management experience in a tech company or technical org
- Proven track record working directly with software engineers and technical leads
- Strong ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences — and vice versa
- Hands-on experience with modern work-tracking tools (Linear, Jira, Asana, etc.)
- Comfortable with ambiguity; able to create structure without waiting for it to exist
- Clear, concise written communicator — your updates reduce questions, not generate them
Nice to Haves:
- Experience in a startup or high-growth environment a strong plus
- PMP or agile certifications nice to have, not required
