About the Role

As Program Manager, Marketplace, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the strategy, performance, and long-term success of Cargado’s freight marketplace. You’ll bring together strategic thinking, analytical rigor, and operational excellence to solve some of the most complex challenges in freight tech.

This is a highly cross-functional and high-visibility role; you’ll collaborate with leadership, data, operations, and customer-facing teams, as well as with Cargado customers, to strengthen marketplace efficiency and drive growth. You’ll report to the Head of Marketplace Strategy and be a key player in defining how Cargado scales.

What You’ll Do

  • Build and Own Marketplace Analytics: Develop insights and reporting that define how Cargado measures marketplace performance. You’ll be the hands-on creator of tools, dashboards, and analyses, leveraging SQL and modern AI-powered products to automate insights, monitor health, and inform decision-making.

  • Lead Cross-Company Initiatives: Take ownership of high-impact, ambiguous challenges that cut across teams. Create data-driven strategies, drive alignment, and execute initiatives from inception through implementation.

  • Automate and Innovate Workflows: Use available tools and emerging AI technologies to automate workflows for yourself and Cargado team members. Continuously explore and apply cutting edge methods, such as AI-agentic workflows, to create scalable, organization-wide efficiency.

  • Deeply Understand Our Customers: Use data analysis and structured investigation to uncover insights about both brokers and carriers, shaping how Cargado serves each side of the marketplace.

  • Drive Marketplace Strategy: Partner closely with company leadership to guide marketplace priorities, balancing customer needs with business objectives.

  • Collaborate Across Teams: Work directly with internal stakeholders and customers to identify and solve key operational and strategic issues impacting marketplace health and growth.

  • Embrace Startup Speed: Cargado is a startup. We move fast, try new things, fail at some, and quickly pivot often. We need someone excited by the chaos and ready to dive in head first.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Program Management or Data Analytics, ideally in freight, logistics, or marketplace environments

  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, with proven ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights

  • Hands-on experience building tools, automations, and workflows using SQL and AI technologies

  • Demonstrated success leading cross-functional initiatives and aligning diverse stakeholders

  • Comfortable with ambiguity, with the ability to turn abstract challenges into structured, scalable solutions

  • Experienced with Metabase, HubSpot, and Google Workspace for analytics, CRM, and collaboration

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
