Working at the intersection of culture, strategy, and long-term growth, the team shapes how creative intelligence becomes new technology, partnerships, and sustained investment.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">I&amp;SG stewards the Foundation’s creative R&amp;D program, Creative Futures, and the Fellowships program as flagship expressions of this work.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Mozilla Fellowships program is a high-impact leadership initiative that supports people carrying imaginative, boundary-breaking ideas into institutions, movements, policy spaces, media, and public life. Fellows advance more accountable and people-centered technology futures while embedded within host organizations and networks.</span></p><p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Program Manager, Fellowships serves as the operational backbone of this program — translating strategic vision into structured, well-executed program delivery across the full Fellowship lifecycle.</span></p><p><strong>Job responsibilities</strong></p><p><strong>Here are some projects you'll likely work on in your first 6 months:</strong></p><ul><li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Lead the next Fellowship recruitment and selection cycle, including refining selection criteria, coordinating review processes, and preparing materials for leadership and advisors.</span></li><li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Manage cohort formation and oversee offers, contracting timelines, and public announcements in partnership with Legal, Communications, and the Grants team.</span></li><li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Design and execute a strong onboarding experience for new Fellows and host organizations.</span></li><li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Establish clear project management systems, documentation practices, and communication rhythms to support a seamless Fellowship year.</span></li><li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Support planning for upcoming convenings and moments of visibility (including Mozilla-wide events such as MozFest).</span></li></ul><p><strong>As a Program Manager, Fellowships at Mozilla, you will…</strong></p><ul><li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Own the end-to-end execution of the Mozilla Fellowships program across recruitment, onboarding, delivery, and alumni engagement.</span></li><li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Shape structured, transparent, and equitable selection processes that balance rigor and creative ambition.</span></li><li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Serve as the primary operational point of contact for Fellows and host organizations, resolving issues and ensuring alignment.</span></li><li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Manage budgets, contracts, payment schedules, and reporting in partnership with Finance/Admin and the Grants team.</span></li><li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Track milestones, deliverables, and impact signals, contributing to internal and funder reporting.</span></li><li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Maintain strong project management systems across multiple stakeholders and overlapping timelines.</span></li><li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Coordinate engagement between the Fellowship and other Mozilla Foundation programs.</span></li><li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Support alumni continuity and post-Fellowship touchpoints.</span></li><li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Collect feedback and document program learnings to strengthen future cycles.</span></li><li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Integrate guidance from a team of Senior Curricular Advisors and program leadership into program design and Fellow experience.</span></li><li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Operate with high autonomy, sound judgment, and attention to detail in a fast-moving, evolving environment.</span></li></ul><p><strong>Your Professional Profile:</strong></p><ul><li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">5–7 years of experience in program management, grantmaking, fellowships, leadership development, or cohort-based initiatives.</span></li><li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Demonstrated success managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects with overlapping timelines.</span></li><li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Strong project management skills, including planning, tracking, and execution across parallel workstreams.</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"><br></span><span style="font-weight: 400;">Experience managing budgets, contracts, and reporting processes.</span></li><li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex We aim to pay a competitive and market-based salary based on the responsibilities and requirements of the role.
