Program Manager

This role offers the opportunity to oversee and coordinate complex programs from planning through execution and evaluation. The Program Manager will lead cross-functional teams, manage budgets and schedules, mitigate risks, and ensure deliverables meet operational and technical objectives. You will act as a key liaison for stakeholders, providing updates, solving problems, and driving efficiency across projects. The position emphasizes both strategic oversight and hands-on program management, requiring strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills. You will operate in a dynamic, safety-focused environment supporting mission-critical operations, with exposure to specialized aviation, flight test, and recovery programs. Collaboration, adaptability, and precision are central to success in this role.

Accountabilities:

Coordinate and oversee program planning, execution, and evaluation across multiple projects
Assist in defining project requirements, developing work plans, and managing resources
Monitor project performance, budgets, schedules, and risks, and implement mitigation strategies
Serve as primary point of contact for customer inquiries, program updates, and contract correspondence
Support hiring, mentoring, and performance management for project teams
Ensure all projects and subcontracts adhere to safety, compliance, and operational standards
Prepare and maintain project plans, status reports, and metrics for stakeholder review
Foster strong internal and external relationships, representing the program professionally

Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s or MBA preferred
Program Management Professional (PMP) certification or DAWIA Level 1 preferred
5+ years of program or project management experience, ideally in military ground/flight test operations
Knowledge of US Military and Federal Acquisition Regulations; experience with aircraft recovery programs (CDDAR) preferred
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop teams
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and program management tools
U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain and maintain a Secret DoD security clearance
