This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Product Owner in the United States.
As a Product Owner, you will play a key role in driving the success of software solutions by bridging the gap between business needs and technical implementation. You will define and prioritize product features, manage the backlog, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of impactful, customer-focused solutions. This role requires a blend of strategic thinking, technical understanding, and hands-on execution within an agile environment. · Define and maintain a clear product vision and roadmap that aligns with business goals and customer needs.
· Manage and prioritize the product backlog, ensuring user stories are well-documented, estimated, and ready for development.
· Write clear and detailed user stories with defined acceptance criteria that reflect customer expectations and technical feasibility.
· Gather and refine business and technical requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and data analysis.
· Represent the voice of the customer during agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
· Collaborate closely with engineering, design, QA, and business teams to ensure transparency and alignment throughout the development cycle.
· Coordinate and oversee User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure new features meet business objectives and quality standards.
· Plan and execute feature launches, pilots, and rollouts, ensuring smooth implementation and adoption.
· Analyze product performance, gather feedback, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Requirements
· Proven experience as a Product Owner or in a similar role within an agile software development environment.
· Strong knowledge of agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and product lifecycle management.
· Ability to translate complex business needs into actionable technical requirements.
· Skilled in writing detailed user stories, defining acceptance criteria, and managing product backlogs.
· Hands-on experience with SQL for data validation and analysis.
· Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
· Proficiency with agile tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps.
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
· Familiarity with financial products or regulated industries is a strong plus.
· Certification such as Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or equivalent is advantageous.
