Truss is seeking a Product Manager to join our team.


Product Managers at Truss offer support to both our technical teams and our client stakeholders by developing and maintaining the product roadmap, establishing and monitoring KPIs and metrics, facilitating weekly backlog grooming and sprint planning, and continuously facilitating appropriate prioritization of the team’s work to meet milestones and deliver. They are also a key client liaison, leveraging proactive communication, empathy, patience, and a shoulder-to-shoulder approach to product development and management. 


This person will join a small, technical team and be expected to manage clients and gain alignment quickly. A successful applicant will be comfortable collaborating with stakeholders to synthesize and parlay input and feedback into actionable decisions, but just as comfortable pushing back when project health is at stake. 


This PM will be responsible for bridging technical complexity with user needs, ensuring seamless integration between client and stakeholder needs and other application teams while maintaining focus on user experience and business outcomes.


This is a fully remote position. Periodic travel (at least once a quarter) is required. 


SKILL SET
  • 5- 7 years prior, successful experience as a Product Manager working with agile development teams
  • Proven track record successfully managing clients, meeting expectations, and delivering
  • Experience managing the full product lifecycle, including managing a production application with an active user base 
  • Understands a consultative, empathetic approach
  • Comfortable building and managing product roadmaps
  • Able to prioritize work without direct authority
  • Experience engaging with stakeholders in a consultative fashion, particularly around prioritizing, weighing tradeoffs, and aligning product vision and strategy  
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive and responsive problem solver
  • Highly collaborative and takes initiative 
  • Data-driven product posture 
  • Proven track record managing complex system integrations and data migrations
  • Experience translating technical requirements into business value and user stories
  • Strong background in user experience design collaboration and user-centered product development
  • Experience managing technical debt discussions and system modernization initiatives
  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate cross-functional technical decision-making


Nice to Have:
  • Consulting experience (bonus for government consulting experience) 
  • Ability to write basic Postgres SQL queries 
  • Accessibility / 508 compliance expertise 
  • Experience with Jira and Confluence Experience and/or certifications for SaaS platforms like Salesforce, ServiceNow, or similar.
  • Experience with Content Management Systems (CMS) like Drupal
  • Has served agile teams as a Product Owner
  • API and system integration experience
  • Experience with data governance issues and managing privacy and security compliance in government or enterprise environments
  • Change management and user adoption methodologies


$141,000 - $157,000 a year

Eligibility:

You must be eligible to work in the U.S. and may be required to pass a federal background check at the discretion of the client/project you are placed on. Truss employees must live and work within the continental U.S. or one of its territories. Unfortunately, we are unable to sponsor work visas at this time.
