We are seeking a Product Manager II to lead the Compliance & Recruiting product—one of the most strategically critical platforms at Teamworks and the most widely adopted solution in the collegiate athletics space. This product enables athletic departments to stay compliant with NCAA and institutional policies through automated workflows for rules education, approvals, documentation, and recruiting activity tracking. It’s the entry point for many of our partners and a foundational piece of their operational infrastructure.

This role requires a strong, execution-focused product leader who can thrive in a complex, high-context domain and drive alignment across engineering, design, customer success, and go-to-market teams. The ideal candidate will have experience managing intricate product ecosystems, translating regulatory workflows into intuitive user experiences, and bringing impactful features to market with speed and precision.

This is an exciting opportunity to help shape the future of athlete performance management in one of the fastest-growing companies in sports tech.

Game Plan - How You'll Drive Impact:

  • Own the Compliance & Recruiting roadmap, defining the vision, setting priorities, and delivering critical features that empower collegiate athletic departments to stay compliant, streamline recruiting, and build operational trust.
  • Lead the full product development lifecycle—from ideation to launch—ensuring timely, high-quality execution in partnership with engineering & design.
  • Translate complex regulatory and user workflows into intuitive product experiences, using customer insight and product data to continuously refine the product strategy.
  • Drive alignment across internal teams, collaborating cross-functionally with engineering, design, marketing, sales, customer success, and support to ensure seamless execution and adoption.
  • Define and monitor key product metrics to evaluate feature success and inform future decisions—leveraging both qualitative feedback and quantitative insights.
  • Collaborate on go-to-market execution, equipping internal teams with the knowledge and positioning to support adoption and showcase product value.
  • Conduct customer discovery with compliance officers, administrators, and recruiting staff to surface key pain points and ensure the product meets the real-world needs of its highly specialized users.
  • Partner closely with our in-house Compliance experts to stay up to date on NCAA legislation, recruiting regulations, and compliance trends to inform roadmap direction and maintain Teamworks’ reputation as a trusted partner in a regulated space.

Player Profile - What You Bring to the Team:

  • A track record of owning product strategy and delivery for complex SaaS solutions in a B2B environment—especially where the user experience is operationally or compliance-driven.
  • Strong execution chops, with experience driving end-to-end product development in collaboration with engineering and design.
  • A strategic mindset paired with a bias for action—you know how to deliver fast wins while aligning to long-term product vision.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and bring clarity, identifying what matters most and making forward progress with limited information.
  • Excellent communicator and collaborator, capable of aligning stakeholders across technical and non-technical functions.
  • Comfortable using product metrics and user research to drive prioritization, validate assumptions, and iterate on what you build.

The Ideal Recruit - Skills & Experience:

  • Experience working on platforms with compliance, operational, or workflow complexity—ideally in education, legal tech, healthcare, or athletics.
  • Familiarity with NCAA rules, collegiate athletic operations, or recruiting processes.
  • Background in fast-paced, high-growth product environments where ownership, iteration, and speed are critical.
  • Prior experience collaborating with engineering, customer success, and cross-departmental teams to ship features and refine processes.

Champion Mindset - Traits for Success:

  • Takes initiative to deliver high-quality products; exhibits strong leadership and control of work process from beginning to end.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced environment and responds well to pressure.
  • Detailed, precise, and thorough.
  • Analytical: delivers fast and carefully thought-out results.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Aligned with our core values: honesty, humility, hard work, commitment, innovation, and exceptionalism.
