<p><strong>Product Manager, Account Security</strong></p><p><br>itD is seeking a <strong>Product Manager in Account Security</strong> to join our Retail consulting services practice.</p><p>In this role, the ideal candidate will work with a leading retail client in the Client Trust domain, helping deliver <strong>secure, scalable, and frictionless login and account creation experiences</strong> across digital platforms, while protecting customer trust and brand integrity.</p><p>You will partner closely with <strong>engineering, UX, cybersecurity, fraud, customer service, loyalty, client experience, and other business stakeholders</strong> to execute initiatives related to <strong>modern authentication and identity protection</strong>, including passkeys, MFA, OTP, and passwordless login methods. This role operates in a <strong>high‑ambiguity environment</strong> and is best suited for a <strong>self‑directed product manager</strong> who can adapt processes, work independently, and collaborate with <strong>both human developers and AI‑assisted coding agents</strong> to accelerate delivery.</p><p>This position has exposure across digital and in‑store experiences and requires strong judgment in balancing <strong>security, customer experience, and operational risk</strong>.</p><p><strong>Location: </strong>Remote (Pacific Time zone working hours) or Hybrid (San Francisco Bay Area, CA)</p><p><strong>Pay Rate</strong>: Dependent on experience.<br><br>We provide comprehensive medical benefits, a 401k plan, paid holidays, and more. Please note that we are only considering direct W2 candidates at this time, as we are unable to offer sponsorship.</p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Support execution of the <strong>Account Security product roadmap </strong>for our clients, with a primary focus on login, account creation, and identity verification experiences.</li><li>Drive requirements from concept through launch while partnering with&nbsp;<strong>internal engineering teams, external vendors, and AI‑assisted development tools</strong>.</li><li>Contribute to initiatives involving&nbsp;<strong>modern authentication technologies</strong>, including:<ul><li>Passkeys and passwordless login</li><li>Multi‑factor / two‑factor authentication</li><li>OTP‑based phone or email login</li></ul></li><li>Translate loosely defined problem statements into&nbsp;<strong>clear product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.</strong></li><li>Collaborate with Cybersecurity, Fraud, Legal, and Privacy partners to ensure solutions meet&nbsp;<strong>security, compliance, and data protection standards</strong>.</li><li>Identify friction points, abuse vectors, and risk signals across&nbsp;<strong>web, mobile app, and in‑store supported experiences</strong>.</li><li>Maintain a healthy, groomed backlog of Account Security‑related user stories and enhancements.</li><li>Assess technical questions and partner with Engineering, Architecture, vendors, or AI agents as needed to reach resolution.</li><li>Create, document, and evolve&nbsp;<strong>lightweight processes, templates, and tools</strong> to enable consistent delivery in a fast‑moving environment.</li><li>Define data requirements and strategy for feature prioritization, performance, and optimizations, working with a data platform and Adobe Analytics to create reporting and deliver product insights.</li><li>Create and leverage metrics, instrumentation, dashboards and experimentation to manage performance and inform product strategy and feature design</li><li>Define and instrument success metrics, KPIs, and guardrails (e.g., conversion, authentication success, fraud loss, support contacts) for Account Security features.</li><li>Operate effectively with limited oversight, adjusting priorities and approaches as business needs evolve.</li><li>Work closely with our current client partners, including BeyondID, Okta, Forter, Telesign, IPQS, and others.</li></ul><p><strong>Internal Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Collaborate with your itD practice team on <strong>industry thought leadership.</strong></li><li>Complete client case studies and learning material (blogs, media material).</li><li>Attend internal <strong>itD networking and practice community events</strong> (in person and virtual).</li><li>Work with leadership on career fast-track opportunities.</li></ul><p><strong>Required Qualifications and Skills</strong></p><ul><li>Strong curiosity about how <strong>authentication and risk decisioning</strong>&nbsp;work at scale.</li><li>Proven experience using&nbsp;<strong>data and analytics to inform product strategy, </strong>roadmap prioritization and feature design in a product management or related role</li><li>Demonstrated ability to operate independently and&nbsp;<strong>navigate ambiguity</strong> without relying on rigid process.</li><li>Experience collaborating with&nbsp;<strong>technical teams</strong>, including exposure to <strong>AI‑assisted development or automation tools</strong>.</li><li>Ability to balance&nbsp;<strong>customer experience, security requirements, and delivery constraints</strong>.</li><li><strong>Excellent communication </strong>skills with the ability to partner effectively with both business and technical stakeholders.</li><li>Nimble and flexible in response to changing priorities and <strong>evolving problem spaces.</strong></li></ul><p><strong>Minimum Qualifications and Skills</strong></p><ul><li><strong>3–5 years of experience</strong> in Product Management or a related role.</li><li>Experience delivering features for&nbsp;<strong>large‑scale ecommerce or consumer digital platforms</strong>.</li><li>Hands‑on experience with&nbsp;<strong>authentication, identity, or account‑related product features</strong>.</li><li>Familiarity with <strong>Agile delivery </strong>models and <strong>AI tools</strong> (e.g., JIRA, Claude Code, GitHub).</li><li>Experience working on&nbsp;<strong>high‑traffic transactional websites or mobile apps</strong></li><li>Familiarity with risk decisioning to proactively identify and mitigate fraud and abuse scenarios is a valuable advantage.</li></ul><p><strong>Education</strong></p><ul><li>Bachelor’s Degree required (or comparable professional experience)</li></ul><div class="content-conclusion"><p><strong>Company Description</strong><br>About itD: We are part of a new generation of consulting and software development company that blends diversity, innovation, and integrity with real business results.
