About the role:

Are you a creative and innovative product designer looking for the freedom and flexibility to build a product from the ground up? Here at Peppr, we are looking for a user obsessed Product Designer to join the Team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with our Product Team to translate user requirements into intuitive, impactful interface designs. This person will be a key contributor to designing Peppr POS and other restaurant tech products, as well as building the design system that will be foundational to the user experience.

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the UX/UI design of related products for the restaurant POS SaaS, including but not limited to mobile ordering, marketing, merchant management backend, cashier system, and other products

• Create intuitive interfaces across multiple platforms and devices with distinct customer personas in mind

• Strong UI design skills and a keen eye for typography, color theory, layout, and intuitive visual experience.

• Offer insight into the restaurant business and American catering merchants, analyzing and proposing effective design solutions based on merchant needs and business data

• Actively follow up on design results, regularly review and evaluate, and continuously improve design efficiency and quality

Basic requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in product design, with systematic knowledge of design theory

• 1+ years of experience designing PoS (Point of Sales) UX/UI

• Proficiency in Figma and latest design features

• Occasional travel for User Research

Preferred qualifications:

• Professional experience or thorough understanding of the restaurant/catering industry

• Experience utilizing user interviews, desktop research, etc to conduct user research and to perform analysis to deeply understand the needs of the US catering industry and merchants

• Have in-depth research on the operating behavior of mobile and PC users, be able to use design to guide user behavior, have exceptional experience perception capabilities, and continuously optimize product experience

• Strong communication and project management skills

• Ability to verbally communicate in Chinese is a plus!
