As a senior technical leader, you will design and evolve scalable, AI-powered systems that process and analyze large volumes of data in real time. Working within a cross-functional environment alongside data scientists and product managers, you will guide architectural decisions, prototype innovative ideas, and drive production-ready implementations. Accountabilities:- Architect, design, and implement scalable backend solutions in Python, leveraging AWS cloud services and modern distributed systems practices.
- Develop and optimize AI- and LLM-driven workflows to streamline analysis and accelerate customer outcomes.
- Build, deploy, and maintain containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes in cloud-native environments.
- Lead the evolution of infrastructure and system architecture to ensure performance, scalability, and security compliance.
- Collaborate closely with product managers and data scientists to translate complex requirements into technical solutions.
- Create proofs-of-concept and prototypes to validate ideas, then transition them into robust production systems.
- Contribute to engineering best practices, code quality, documentation, and peer reviews to ensure maintainable and extensible solutions.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field with 10+ years of professional software engineering experience (or equivalent practical experience).
- At least 5 years of backend development experience building production-grade Python applications and APIs.
- Strong expertise in AWS cloud architecture, including deployment, monitoring, and optimization of production systems.
- Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Proficiency in APIs, microservices, asynchronous processing, ORMs, task queues, and relational/NoSQL databases.
- Solid understanding of Linux systems, testing methodologies (unit, integration, functional), and Agile/Scrum practices.
- Demonstrated experience designing and documenting complex system architectures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
- Ability to obtain a security clearance.
- Nice to have: experience with LangChain, LangGraph, Elasticsearch, LLM frameworks, and mentoring engineers in scalable software design.
