A DAY IN THE LIFE
Our Environmental Consulting and Engineering (EC&E) group is looking for an experienced Principal Scientist – Permitting & Compliance who can lead, sell, do, and build Montrose’s Oil & Gas Market Sector. The key responsibilities include:
Business Development
In conjunction with our Oil & Gas Program Manager, build a strategic business plan for Appalachian Basin region in the O&G Sector.
Build upon and expand clients, resources, and sub-sector markets of our O&G Market Sector business in the Appalachian Basin region.
Manage and grow one or more key client Account Management programs within the O&G Market Sector.
Develop and maintain a broad range of client relationships throughout the market sector and geography.
Identify and pursue business development opportunities consistent with the vision and strategic plan.
Support growth of a team of high performers. This will include supporting recruitment and retention of subject matter experts, project managers, and account managers within the Environmental Services practice.
Be a Project Director for a portfolio of projects with variety of service offerings, delivering budgeted financial performance, and excellent client service.Â
Strategic Thinking    Â
Identify trends and develop a long-term view of the O&G Sector market within a key client account framework.
Work to position Montrose in key portions of the O&G Sector Market and with accounts that can provide sustainable and strategic growth.
Develop and implement “win” strategies, including client contact, opportunity identification and positioning, proposal preparation, and preparation of and participation in client interviews.
Support the implementation of Montrose’s U.S. Oil & Gas Sector strategic plan within a collaborative team environment.
Innovate and enhance our capabilities, geographic footprint, and integrated approach.
Make collaborative decisions using critical thinking, good business sense, and organizational values involving varying levels of risk and ambiguity.
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's degree in Natural Resources, Engineering, Geology, or relevant science discipline.
15+ years of relevant experience in the Oil and Gas industry, particularly with up- and midstream companies.
Experience in managing multiple clients and projects, as well as drafting proposals, quotes, and bids.
The project work will be multi-disciplinary in nature, but experience in upstream, transmission pipeline, and related facilities infrastructure is preferred.
