Job Summary:

The role of Principal QA Manager is crucial in ensuring the quality and reliability of the software developed at BHDIC. Candidates will be effective at engaging with all contributors regardless of the contributor’s role, technical knowledge, and seniority in the organization. A seasoned, hands-on technical background is a must, to include the topics and technologies listed below.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages a team of over 40 manual and automation engineers, overseeing aspects of software quality, test planning, test cases, coverage review and regression management for the software developed at BHDIC.
  • Owns the development of the QA strategy, methodology, discipline and framework to drive and improve the QA team in areas of automated testing.
  • Collaborates with cross-departmental leadership to deliver high-quality products on schedule.
  • Leads implementation of an enterprise test automation framework to improve testing efficiency.
  • Establishes and enforces quality standards, ensuring that products meet reliability, quality, and security requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering/Related field or equivalent working experience.
  • Strong communication skills are a must, given that this resource will be the face of partner-related IT for a broad cross-section of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Automation-driven mindset where automation and continuous improvement are prioritized to improve overall velocity.
  • Strong knowledge of how to apply software engineering practices for reliability, maintainability, and performance to automated tests.
  • Experience working in teams employing Agile, Scrum, CI/CD, and DevOps approaches to software delivery
  • 7+ years working in an automated QA environment with Specflow, C#, and other related QA automation tools.
  • 3+ years in a role that’s equivalent to the one described in this position description.
  • Ideally several years working in in Property & Casualty Insurance or other insurance industry.

In accordance with pay transparency laws and regulations, the following good faith compensation range estimate is being provided.  The salary range for this position is $125,000- $145,000 per year.  Final compensation will be based on candidate qualifications, geographic location, and other considerations permitted by law.
