This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Principal DevOps Engineer in the United States.

As a Principal DevOps Engineer, you will lead the design, implementation, and optimization of global cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines, ensuring scalable, secure, and high-performing systems. You will collaborate across engineering, security, and operations teams to drive automation, enhance developer experience, and maintain compliance standards. This role offers autonomy and strategic impact, allowing you to shape infrastructure best practices, mentor peers, and deliver robust solutions that support rapid product delivery.   • Accountabilities
  • Design and implement scalable, highly available global cloud architectures that meet business requirements.
  • Lead the development and optimization of CI/CD pipelines for automated testing, deployment, and monitoring of applications and infrastructure.
  • Manage Kubernetes clusters, containerization using Docker, and infrastructure automation with Terraform, Ansible, or similar tools.
  • Ensure compliance, security, and observability in cloud environments, integrating industry standards and audit requirements.
  • Collaborate across teams to identify DevOps needs and deliver solutions that improve developer experience and release velocity.
  • Mentor and coach team members on DevOps best practices, tools, and methodologies.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging DevOps technologies to drive innovation.

  • Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; Master’s preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in DevOps or related fields, including at least 5 years in a senior architecture role.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
  • Expertise in CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions), container orchestration, and infrastructure as code (IaC).
  • Strong knowledge of networking, security, and compliance in global cloud environments (SOC2, ISO 27001, etc.).
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, Bash, Go, or similar).
  • Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills, with experience managing complex projects across stakeholders.
  • Proven ability to design scalable, distributed architectures and optimize performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
