Compensation: $150,000 - $225,000
We are seeking an experienced CPA to assist in the evaluation, acquisition, and management of a targeted accounting practice in partnership with the Round Hill Partners' investment team. This senior-level role combines strategic assessment, operational leadership, and practice management responsibilities. The successful candidate will lead the evaluation process, oversee the transition, and ultimately run the acquired firm as Practice Leader.
Conduct comprehensive financial and operational assessments of target accounting practices
Analyze client portfolios, revenue streams, and growth opportunities
Evaluate existing staff capabilities, technology infrastructure, and operational processes
Prepare detailed acquisition recommendations and integration plans
Collaborate with leadership team on valuation and negotiation strategies
Lead the integration of acquired practices into our portfolio
Develop and execute transition plans to ensure seamless client service continuity
Assess and optimize existing team structures and capabilities
Implement standardized processes, procedures, and quality controls
Manage technology system integrations and upgrades
Serve as managing partner/leader of the acquired practice
Oversee day-to-day operations, client relationships, and service delivery
Manage and develop existing staff, including performance evaluations and professional development
Drive business development initiatives and client retention strategies
Ensure compliance with professional standards and regulatory requirements
Develop and monitor key performance indicators and financial metrics
Identify opportunities for service expansion and revenue growth
Build and maintain strong client relationships across all service lines
Develop referral networks and business development partnerships
Implement best practices and process improvements
Support corporate initiatives and reporting requirements
CPA certification (active and in good standing)
8+ years of progressive public accounting experience
3+ years of practice management or senior leadership experience
Proven track record in business development and client relationship management
Experience with mergers, acquisitions, or practice transitions preferred
Strong financial analysis and due diligence capabilities
Expertise in tax preparation, compliance, and planning
Proficiency with accounting software and practice management systems
Experience with financial statement preparation and review/audit procedures
Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements
Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills
Exceptional leadership and team management abilities
Strong communication and presentation skills
Strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Tech forward mindset with focus on growth and profitability
Change management experience
