About this Position

The PMO Team Lead provides leadership, coaching, and operational guidance to a cohort of Project Managers while maintaining direct involvement in client delivery. This role ensures consistent, high-quality execution, drives adoption of PMO standards, and improves delivery performance.


Acting as a bridge between strategy and execution, the PM Team Lead leads through influence, enabling team success while modeling best practices in delivery to drive strong client and business outcomes.


Job Responsibilities


Team Leadership & Performance

  • Lead, coach, and develop a cohort of Project Managers, including coaching, feedback, and career development support.
  • Act as an Inspiring Coach, building team capability through structured feedback, mentorship, and real-time guidance.
  • Establish clear expectations for delivery quality, communication, and accountability.
  • Monitor team capacity, utilization, and workload balancing to ensure sustainable performance.


Delivery Governance & Quality

  • Ensure projects consistently adhere to PMO standards, methodologies (e.g., Propel), and tools.
  • Review project health and intervene early to prevent delivery issues.
  • Drive accountability for on-time, on-budget delivery and consistent reporting.


PMO Process Improvement

  • Identify gaps and inefficiencies in PMO processes, tools, and templates.
  • Act as a Driven Intrapreneur by introducing scalable improvements.
  • Lead initiatives that improve governance, onboarding, and workflows.


Strategic Alignment & Goal Setting

  • Align PM goals with PMO and organizational objectives.
  • Translate strategy into actionable delivery practices.
  • Provide input into PMO priorities and continuous improvement initiatives based on delivery insights.


Coaching, Mentoring & Onboarding

  • Lead onboarding for new PMs.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and foster collaboration.


Direct Project Delivery

  • Maintain billable contribution up to ~40%.
  • Lead complex projects within the Sage Intacct practice and model strong delivery practices.

Job Requirements

  • 10+ years of project/program management experience, with 3+ years in a leadership or influence-based role.
  • Proven experience delivering projects in a client-facing, professional services environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and influence project teams without direct authority.
  • Experience leading complex, cross-functional or enterprise-level projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s in Business, Leadership, or related field preferred.
  • PMP required; PgMP or PMI-PBA strongly preferred.
  • Experience with PMO tools, reporting frameworks, and delivery methodologies (e.g., Agile, hybrid, Propel).
  • Experience managing or supporting Sage Intacct implementations strongly preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary range: $120,000 to $130,000.

This position is also eligible for a bonus in accordance with the terms of the Company's plan.
