What is the role?

As a Delivery Engineer specializing in software implementation and SQL development on the Location Intelligence Implementation Team, you will play a crucial role in customizing and delivering our location-based intelligence solutions to meet our clients' specific needs. You will collaborate closely with our project management team and client stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of projects.

·      Onboard new customers to Kalibrate Location Intelligence! This is highly customizable software, and you will be a go-to for technical guidance and support to internal teams and clients on the implementation and usage of Kalibrate Location Intelligence software solutions.

·      Collaborate with account managers and project managers to understand client requirements and translate them into technical specifications for our location-based intelligence solutions, ensuring timely delivery.

·      Perform data analysis and manipulation tasks using SQL queries to load, manage, and manipulate data sets, with some tasks involving other tools such as MySQL, Alteryx, or Microsoft Excel.

·      Develop and maintain database schemas/tables, stored procedures, triggers, and functions to support customers' specific requirements.

·      Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure on-time delivery of projects.



Technical Essential

·      Relational Database Experience (preferably Microsoft SQL Server/T-SQL or MySQL), including data analysis, manipulation, and managing schemas/tables, stored procedures, triggers, and functions.

·      Experience configuring software to specific needs. This might be demonstrated through application administration or support roles where the platform required deep customization—such as tailoring workflows or integrations to meet unique business requirements.

·      Basic Windows Server administration, such as using RDP to connect to servers, transfer files, monitor performance.

·      Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel

Technical Skills Highly Desirable

·      Alteryx Designer, or other ETL tools (e.g., SSIS).

·      Windows scripting for automation (Batch, PowerShell). We even use a bit of Python for some projects.

·      Using Windows Task Scheduler to support automation.

·      Geographic Information Systems (GIS) software such as MapInfo Professional, ESRI ArcGIS, or QGIS.

·      Image editing tools (e.g., GIMP) – for creating a customized user experience in our software.

·      Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, Tempo, etc.) Experience in other similar ticketing systems is also a plus!

Non-Technical Essential

·      Ability to quickly learn new processes, as our software is frequently updated with new features to dive into!

·      Gather, analyse, specify and validate business needs from account managers and customers.

·      Forward thinking to be sure of a successful delivery of projects with high attention to detail of the project specifications

·      Strong team-work ethic, open to sharing knowledge and promoting growth within a globally distributed organization

·      Strong ‘can-do’ attitude and ‘customer service’ ethic, putting the customer first

·      Strong and plan focused personality that can manage difficult customer situations where necessary to obtain a positive outcome
