Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Platform Engineer to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about building and maintaining robust, scalable, and efficient infrastructure that empowers development teams to deliver high-quality software rapidly. As a Platform Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing the core platforms and tools that support our applications. This includes managing cloud infrastructure, automating deployment pipelines, enhancing monitoring and logging systems, and ensuring the reliability of our services. You will work closely with software development, and platform teams to identify bottlenecks, improve workflows, and champion best practices for infrastructure as code and site reliability.


Primary Duties Including % of time:

  • 50% - Design, build, and maintain scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure
  • 20% - Implement and optimize monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions
  • 20% - Collaborate with dev teams to provide self-service tools and improve developer experience
  • 10% - Maintain current awareness of marketplace trends, both technical and process improvements


Travel Required: Less than 5%


Organizational Relationship:

  • Reports To: CTO
  • Direct Reports: None
  • Interacts with: Platform Engineering, Software Engineering


Skills and Experience:

  • 2+ years professional experience in Platform engineering, Dev(Sec)Ops or SRE.
  • Experience building and managing web application infrastructure at scale.
  • Strong proficiency in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
  • Experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD principles and tools (e.g., Github Actions, Jenkins, CircleCI).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, Go).
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, Datadog).
  • The ability to debug complex technical issues.
  • Passionate about results and quality, with a strong sense of accountability, metrics and ownership.
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to grasp the tactical details.
    Ability to manage multiple projects, multi-task, and effectively prioritize assignments with minimal
  • supervision.
  • Proven ability to organize/manage multiple priorities coupled with the flexibility to quickly adapt to ever
  • changing business needs.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving. Solid decision making in a timely manner.
