About the role


The team: The Manager, Virtual Care Team is the leader of a team of Virtual Physical Therapists, one of the teams at the very heart of day-to-day patient care.  At Origin, our Patient Care team is supported by all other teams (think of Patient Care as the center of what we do) and supports patients through their healing experience at Origin from start to finish. 


The role: Specifically, the Manager, Virtual Care Team is responsible for the overall performance of their team of Virtual PTs and partners with our in-person Physical Therapists and with all Clinic Directors in the success of Origin nationwide.  They lead a team of Virtual Physical Therapists and collaborate with the Patient Services Team.   


What Are Your Responsibilities 

The Virtual Care Manager is responsible for leading their Virtual PT Team by:

  • Performing the tasks associated with the duties and responsibilities of a Virtual Physical Therapist (~70% of time)
  • Proactively managing the performance and quality of care for all supervised Virtual Physical Therapists on their team including, but not limited to:
    • Patient outcomes
    • Patient retention
    • Visit shadowing
    • Proper billing practices
  • Supporting the recruitment, interviewing, and  hiring of Physical Therapists (both Virtual and in-person)
  • Manage un-utilized time to ensure time is spent with tasks that increase demand and awareness, including, but not limited to provider marketing, brand partnerships, and content (blog, presentations, social media, etc.)  
  • Mentorship, development, and performance management of direct reports
  • Working collaboratively with the leadership team to be a voice for the team, partner on challenges, and suggest solutions to create a team environment aligned with our values
  • Manage availability and schedules of the team to ensure it is in line with demand (based on state licenses and appropriate timezone scheduling)
  • Supporting a culture of pride in high performance, outcomes for patients, high-quality care, and care delivery
  • Resolving patient issues stemming from the care provided by Virtual PTs on the team
  • Informing/managing upward to escalate issues, being a voice for the team
  • Developing a pipeline of future leadership 
  • Other tasks as assigned

About you


  • Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of California or Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of Texas with eligibility for PT compact licensure.
  • 2 years of in person experience in Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy is required for consideration.
  • 2 additional Physical Therapy Licenses in states in which Origin delivers clinical care (three total)
  • 32-40 hours/week commitment
  • Morning or Evening and Friday availability 
  • Passionate about delivering care via telehealth 


Bonus points 


  • Experience delivering Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy via telehealth 
  • Weekend availability 
  • Eligible for PT compact licensure



Salary Information 


  • $90,000-$125,000 (USD) -- Remote, United States
