This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a PeopleSoft Platform Developer based in United States.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced PeopleSoft professional to take ownership of enterprise-scale platform operations and modernization initiatives in a fully remote environment. The role combines deep technical expertise with strategic platform management, ensuring the reliability, scalability, and long-term evolution of critical PeopleSoft ecosystems. You will work across development, infrastructure, and business teams to deliver robust solutions that support complex enterprise needs. From leading upgrades and automation initiatives to improving performance and resiliency, this position offers significant impact and visibility. Accountabilities:
  • Install, configure, and manage PeopleSoft environments across development, testing, training, and production landscapes.
  • Lead PeopleTools upgrades, patch deployments, and PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM) implementations to maintain platform currency and performance.
  • Administer application servers, process schedulers, WebLogic environments, integration broker components, and search technologies including Elasticsearch/OpenSearch.
  • Execute system refreshes, cloning activities, and environment migrations while ensuring proper documentation and adherence to platform standards.
  • Design and maintain high availability and disaster recovery strategies to ensure business continuity and system resilience.
  • Develop and implement automation solutions using scripting and infrastructure tools to reduce operational complexity and improve efficiency.
  • Monitor platform health, conduct capacity planning, troubleshoot incidents, and drive long-term stability improvements.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to translate technical and business requirements into scalable platform solutions.
  • Maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, runbooks, operational procedures, and configuration references.
  • Mentor junior engineers through knowledge sharing, technical reviews, and best practice guidance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with PeopleSoft PeopleTools administration and enterprise platform management.
  • Strong expertise in PeopleTools upgrades, PeopleSoft Update Manager (PUM), and patch deployment strategies.
  • Solid experience with WebLogic, Tuxedo, PeopleSoft application servers, and process scheduler environments.
  • Hands-on experience administering Elasticsearch or OpenSearch implementations supporting PeopleSoft environments.
  • Working knowledge of Oracle Database administration concepts and collaboration with database teams.
  • Strong Linux/Unix administration skills and scripting experience using Shell, Python, or similar technologies.
  • Familiarity with PeopleSoft Cloud Manager and modern automation frameworks.
  • Experience implementing high availability and disaster recovery solutions within enterprise environments.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as OCI, AWS, or Azure is considered an advantage.
  • Exposure to infrastructure-as-code practices and tools such as Terraform or Ansible is preferred.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD methodologies and PeopleSoft Selective Adoption strategies is a plus.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, documentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively across teams.
