People Operations Coordinator
📍 Hybrid – Phoenix, AZ
A1 Garage Door Service is growing fast, and we need a detail-oriented People Operations Coordinator to keep our HR processes running smoothly. Reporting to the Sr. Manager, People Operations & Programs, this role will manage the HR inbox, coordinate onboarding and offboarding, and provide day-to-day support that keeps our people programs moving.
✨ What You’ll Do
đź“§ HR Inbox & Employee Requests
Manage the HR inbox, responding quickly and accurately to employee questions
Route complex requests to the Specialist or Sr. Manager as needed
Track common inquiries to help improve FAQs and resources
🆕 Onboarding & Offboarding
Coordinate background checks, new hire paperwork, and system access set-up
Schedule first-day activities and communicate with new hires and managers
Prepare termination letters, job abandonment notices, and exit documentation
Ensure smooth, consistent processes for both onboarding and offboarding
đź“‘ Administrative & Compliance Support
Maintain accurate employee files and digital records in UKG Ready
Support compliance activities such as required postings and reporting
Help keep HR process manuals and guides up to date
đź’¬ HR Communications
Assist in drafting clear, timely HR communications to employees
Support managers with quick-reference guides and resources
âś… What You Bring
1–2 years of HR, people operations, or related experience (internships count!)
Intermediate Excel skills (spreadsheets, lookups, pivot tables)
Comfort leveraging AI tools to draft communications, organize data, and streamline workflows
Experience with HR systems (UKG Ready preferred)
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Customer-service mindset with excellent communication skills
Ability to juggle multiple tasks with accuracy and efficiency
Bachelor’s degree preferred (HR coursework or certification a plus)
