We’d love for you to join us!</p><h2><strong>The impact you will have</strong></h2><ul><li><strong>Support and evolve Marqeta’s people analytics strategy</strong>: Support the design and execution of our roadmap to align people analytics with strategic business priorities.&nbsp; Your work will connect the dots between people data and business outcomes.&nbsp;</li><li><strong>Deliver scalable analytics solution</strong>: Create and maintain reports, dashboards, and models that deliver timely, high-impact data and insights across the organization. You’ll provide the data that impacts day-to-day decisions and long range planning.&nbsp;</li><li><strong>Unlock data-informed decision making</strong>:&nbsp; Deliver and translate data into analytics, insights, and recommendations that enable leaders to make smarter, faster and more informed decisions. Your insights will shape how we attract, develop, and retain talent.&nbsp;</li><li><strong>Optimize our people data ecosystem</strong>:<strong> </strong>Partner across the People team to define key metrics, align on shared definitions, and establish a centralized, living data dictionary. Your work will bring consistency, clarity, and credibility to how we talk about talent across the company.</li><li><strong>Elevate data quality and infrastructure</strong>: You’ll assess and improve the integrity, governance, and usability of our people data, ensuring that stakeholders across the company can rely on accurate, trusted insights.&nbsp;</li><li><strong>Promote data-literate culture</strong>: You’ll champion data fluency across the People team and the company, helping stakeholders become smarter consumers of analytics. Whether it's sharing best practices or helping teammates understand how to use a dashboard, you’ll play a role in making people data accessible, meaningful, and actionable.</li></ul><h2><strong>Who you are</strong></h2><ul><li><strong>Experienced</strong>: You have 8+ years of HR reporting, people analytics, or data analytics experience, ideally in a fast-paced or high-growth environment.&nbsp;</li><li><strong>A Problem Solver</strong>: You use data to untangle complex people challenges and uncover actionable insights. Whether it’s identifying drivers of attrition, optimizing workforce planning, or surfacing hidden trends in engagement, you combine analytical rigor with business acumen to anticipate needs and enable better decisions</li><li><strong>An Owner</strong>: You approach your work with accountability and a sense of purpose and drive initiatives that matter to the business. You make sure stakeholders understand not just the “what” but the “so what,” bringing clarity and impact to decision making across the organization.&nbsp;</li><li><strong>An Innovator</strong>: You embrace experimentation and continuous improvement. Whether building a new dashboard, answering a simple people data question, or leveling up data literacy across the team, you show up ready to deliver.&nbsp;</li></ul><h2><strong>Additional Strengths That Set You Apart</strong></h2><p>While not required, experience in the following areas would deepen your impact in this role:</p><ul><li>Workday report writing, including Advanced Reporting, Calculated Fields, or similar modules.</li><li>Background working with data governance, privacy, and compliance practices related to people data.</li><li>Familiarity with statistical modeling or predictive analytics techniques to enhance insights with forecasting</li><li>Hands-on experience with analytics platforms beyond Workday (e.g., Looker, Tableau, or custom-built solutions).</li><li>Integrating and analyzing data from multiple HR Systems(i.e., Workday, Greenhouse, Ashby) to create a unified view of the employee lifecycle.</li></ul><h2><strong>How Success will be Measured:</strong></h2><ul><li><strong>Significant impact on people analytics</strong>: Your work is instrumental in shaping strategic decisions. The data and insights you deliver influence business outcomes in areas such as hiring, retention, organization growth, and program effectiveness.&nbsp;</li><li><strong>Adoption and usability of analytics solutions</strong>: Dashboards and reporting tools you’ve built are intuitive and used regularly by the People Experience Team and stakeholders. Stakeholders rely on your solutions to make informed day-to-day decisions without needing to ask, “Can I trust this data?”</li><li><strong>Improved data quality and governance</strong>: People data is cleaner, more reliable, and easier to access. You’ve implemented data standards, created a robust and living data dictionary, and partnered across teams to ensure consistency in how People data is defined, shared, and interpreted.</li><li><strong>Enhanced data literacy and enablement</strong>: Stakeholders across the organization are more confident and capable in using people data because of your work and influence. To support Flex First, we calibrate pay to a competitive value according to working location. Compensation is aligned according to three tiers within the United States:</p><ul><li><strong>National</strong>: A baseline tier that applies to most of the geographic territory of the United States.</li><li><strong>Premium</strong>: Slightly elevated from the National tier, and oriented toward a narrower set of higher cost-of-living areas, such as Los Angeles CA and Seattle WA</li><li><strong>Premium Plus</strong>: A tier for the most expensive working areas, like the San Francisco Bay area and New York City.</li></ul><p>Visit <a href="https://www.marqeta.com/company/salaryzones">this page</a> or consult with a Recruiter to determine which tier would be applicable to you.</p><p>When determining salaries, we consider several factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior experience, and work location. The new-hire <strong>base salary</strong> range for this position is:</p><ul><li>National: $135,400 - $169,300</li><li>Premium: $146,600 - $183,300</li><li>Premium Plus: $159,400 - $199,200</li></ul><p>We also believe in recognizing the contributions of our people.
