The ideal candidate will have a strong background in payroll processing, tax compliance, and compensation management with specific experience using ADP as the payroll processing system. The ideal candidate thrives in a growing and ever-changing organization, excels in multi-tasking, and is self-motivated and autonomous in day-to-day functions.</p><p><strong>Location</strong>: Remote, USA</p><p> </p><p><strong>Responsibilities</strong>:</p><ul><li>Process payroll for all employees accurately and timely using ADP</li><li>Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations.</li><li>Create and maintain processes for employee changes, i.e., promotions, role changes and compensation changes.</li><li>Development and administration of the company bonus and commission programs.</li><li>Process wage garnishments.</li><li>Prepare reporting for senior leadership.</li><li>Manage and optimize the HRIS to ensure accurate employee data, seamless integration with payroll, and user-friendly reporting capabilities.</li><li>Create and maintain workflows for HR processes, including benefits enrollment, onboarding, and employee changes.</li><li>Generate regular and ad-hoc reports on metrics such as headcount, turnover, benefits utilization, and compensation analytics.</li><li>Review electronic timesheets and downloaded information for completeness and accuracy.</li><li>Assist with benefits administration and maintenance of database information in HRIS and benefits vendor websites, for new hires and current employees (i.e., 401k, HSA, Medical Insurance, etc.).</li><li>Assist with 401K annual audits or other special projects.</li><li>Ensure new hires and terminations are processed correctly and in a timely manner, and that all manual adjustments are processed correctly in accordance with state laws</li><li>Lead in the review and development of payroll processes, procedures, and systems.</li><li>Maintain payroll and employee records, ensuring the highest data integrity.</li><li>Partner with managers and employees in answering any questions regarding payroll matters through the dedicated People Team inbox.</li><li>Oversee the administration of employee benefits, including enrollment, and termination.</li><li>Manage paid time off (PTO) balances and accruals and leaves of absence within the HRIS.</li><li>Calculates and prepares final checks for employee terminations.</li><li>Enhance Lanterns payroll practices to create a scalable function.</li><li>Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries and issues in a timely manner while keeping customer service top of mind.</li><li>Prepare and file payroll tax reports.</li><li>Create and maintain accurate file feeds to third party vendors (benefits, HSA,
