Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Lead and manage a team of paralegals, ensuring workloads are balanced and deadlines are met with efficiency and accuracy.
  • Operational Oversight: Establish and maintain processes to ensure compliance with court procedures, firm protocols, and best practices in legal support.
  • Training & Mentorship: Develop, mentor, and train paralegals to enhance their skills and professional growth.
  • Quality Assurance: Oversee and ensure the accuracy of pleadings, correspondence, and legal documents.
  • Strategic Coordination: Serve as a central liaison between departments to streamline case management and promote effective collaboration.
  • Performance Management: Monitor case progress, track productivity metrics, and implement strategies to improve team performance.
  • Process Innovation: Drive improvements in case management systems and workflows to enhance overall efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Supervisory or management experience in a legal or comparable professional environment is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of court rules, procedures, and filing systems.
  • Experience with case management software (Filevine or similar platforms is highly preferred).
  • Proven ability to lead a team, delegate responsibilities, and foster a culture of accountability and excellence.
  • Exceptional organizational and decision-making skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively lead a team and coordinate with other departments.
  • A background in personal injury law or paralegal experience is beneficial but secondary to leadership capabilities.
