About the role
Go Fish is looking for a Paid Search Senior Manager to lead strategy, execution, and performance across a portfolio of accounts. This role is ideal for someone who is fluent in paid search tactics, thrives in a client-facing environment, and can confidently own both day-to-day management and long-term growth strategy.
You’ll serve as the primary point of contact for clients, while driving pacing, budgeting, reporting, and ongoing optimization across campaigns. This position blends hands-on execution with strategic leadership and cross-channel collaboration.
What You'll Do
Client Leadership & Strategy
- Serve as the primary point of contact for paid search clients
- Own the development and execution of full-funnel search strategies across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and emerging display platforms
- Align paid search initiatives with broader business goals and integrated media strategies
- Proactively identify growth opportunities and recommend new tactics, tests, and investments
Campaign Management & Optimization
- Oversee day-to-day campaign execution across Search, Shopping/PMax, Demand Gen, App, and/or Video tactics
- Lead ongoing optimizations including bidding strategies, audience targeting, creative testing, and account structure improvements
- Ensure campaigns are pacing effectively against budgets and performance targets
- Continuously test and iterate to improve efficiency, scale, and incrementality
Budgeting & Pacing
- Manage budgets across accounts with a strong focus on accuracy and performance
- Monitor pacing daily/weekly and make adjustments to ensure spend aligns with goals
- Forecast performance and investment needs based on historical data and trends
Measurement & Reporting
- Own reporting cadence and performance communication with clients
- Translate campaign data into clear, actionable insights tied to business outcomes
- Leverage tools like GA4, platform reporting, and CRM data to inform strategy
- Develop narratives that go beyond metrics to explain impact and next steps
Cross-Channel Collaboration
- Partner with paid social, SEO, and programmatic teams to ensure alignment and cohesive strategy
- Contribute to integrated media planning and holistic performance strategies
- Identify opportunities where search can support or amplify other channels
What You Bring
- Strong fluency in paid search platforms (Google Ads, Microsoft Ads) with a minimum of 5 years of paid search experience
- Experience managing budgets, pacing, and performance across multiple accounts
- Proven ability to own client relationships and communicate performance effectively
- Deep understanding of search tactics including keyword strategy, bidding, and automation
- Analytical mindset with the ability to turn data into actionable insights
- Experience with GA4 and/or CRM integrations is a plus
- Google Ads and Microsoft Ads certifications preferred
- Clear and confident communicator in client-facing and internal environments
- Ability to explain performance trends, testing insights, and optimization strategies in a digestible way
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities

- Experience with third-party attribution or measurement tools (Fospha, Northbeam, Triple Whale, Haus, etc.)
- Prior experience mentoring junior team members or contributing to internal best practices
- Experience with offline conversion tracking and/or eCommerce platforms (Shopify, WooCommerce, etc.)
- Previous agency experience
- Experience with TrueClicks
- Experience with Funnel and data automations + proficient in excel
