This role is a foundational opportunity to build and scale a paid search practice within a fast-moving, AI-first B2B growth environment. You will be responsible for designing and executing high-performance Google Ads and Microsoft Ads strategies for a portfolio of B2B SaaS clients, with direct accountability for pipeline and revenue impact. Acting as the first dedicated paid media specialist, you will help define how paid search integrates with organic growth, SEO, and generative engine optimization to create a unified demand strategy. This position combines hands-on campaign execution with strategic ownership, requiring both technical depth and commercial thinking. You will work closely with organic strategists to leverage search and AI insights that strengthen targeting and performance. The environment is highly experimental, data-driven, and built for operators who enjoy building from zero to one.
Accountabilities- Own end-to-end paid search strategy, execution, and optimization across Google Ads (Search, Performance Max, YouTube, Display) and Microsoft Ads/Bing for B2B clients.
- Build, launch, and manage full-funnel campaigns focused on pipeline generation, revenue impact, and commercial intent capture.
- Establish operational infrastructure including MCC setup, onboarding/offboarding processes, QA workflows, and reporting standards.
- Manage client budgets ranging from $10K to $100K+ per month with accountability for ROAS, CPL, CAC, and pipeline metrics.
- Develop structured testing frameworks across keywords, audiences, creatives, bidding strategies, and campaign structures.
- Integrate SEO, GEO, and content insights into paid search strategy to improve targeting precision and competitive advantage.
- Own performance reporting and storytelling, connecting ad spend to pipeline, SQLs, and revenue outcomes.
- Build attribution and measurement frameworks in collaboration with client stakeholders.
- Use AI tools to streamline campaign management, reporting, optimization, and creative development.
- Contribute to building the paid media practice from the ground up, including SOPs, playbooks, and pricing models.
- Support hiring, onboarding, and training of future paid media team members as the function scales.
Requirements
- 4–6+ years of hands-on paid media experience, including at least 2 years in B2B SaaS or B2B lead generation environments.
- 2+ years of agency experience managing multiple client accounts simultaneously.
- Proven experience building or scaling a paid search function, ideally in a startup or early-stage environment.
- Deep expertise in Google Ads and Microsoft Ads, including campaign structure, bidding strategies, and optimization.
- Strong experience managing large paid search budgets ($10K–$100K+ monthly) with direct performance accountability.
- Solid understanding of full-funnel B2B marketing, including demand generation, ABM, and pipeline-focused strategies.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in attribution, conversion tracking, and performance measurement.
- Hands-on experience using AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.) to enhance marketing workflows.
- Ability to operate independently in ambiguous, fast-changing environments with minimal oversight.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate performance data into strategic business insights.
