Come feel invigorated and unstoppable with us!</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>The Role</strong></p><p>As an Outbound Business Development Representative (BDR), you will play a critical role in generating new business opportunities for Bloomerang by identifying, engaging, and qualifying potential nonprofit customers who may not be actively looking for a new solution. You will be creating demand where none exists with key decision-makers and setting up qualified meetings for our Account Executives. This role requires resilience, creativity, and the ability to keep focused when you receive rejection. Success comes from your ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, think strategically and personalize your outreach. If you are passionate about sales, and want to make a difference in the nonprofit sector, this role is for you!</p><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>What You Will Do</strong></p><ul><li><strong>Master Bloomerang’s Product &amp; Value:</strong> Become an expert on how Bloomerang’s fundraising, donor, and volunteer management solutions transform nonprofits to help them achieve their mission. You’ll need to quickly articulate value to busy decision-makers.</li><li><strong>Prospect &amp; Engage:</strong> Break into cold accounts through research and strategically engaging decision makers through a mix of cold call, email, LinkedIn and personalized messages.</li><li><strong>Generate Pipeline:</strong> Create &amp; nurture a 90-day rolling pipeline of high-quality potential meetings from scratch, using creative and strategic outreach to warm them up and convert to qualified meetings.</li><li><strong>Sales Collaboration</strong>: Partner closely with the Account Executive team to strategically build a pipeline that converts into closed revenue. You'll work together to identify high-potential accounts, refine outreach strategies, and ensure a seamless handoff of qualified opportunities that drive real business impact.</li><li><strong>Goal Achievement</strong>: Consistently meet (and ideally exceed) your business development targets, contributing to Bloomergang's overall success.</li><li><strong>Data Management &amp; CRM Use</strong>: Ensure the accurate maintenance of sales data and lead tracking through Salesforce, keeping a record of all interactions and progress.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>What You Need to Succeed</strong></p><ul><li><strong>1+ year of sales experience</strong> (SDR, BDR, or sales internship preferred) or business experience and a strong interest in SaaS sales.</li><li>A <strong>passion for helping nonprofits</strong> and a desire to understand their challenges.</li><li>A <strong>self-starter mentality</strong> with the ability to adapt and push yourself every day without relying on warm leads.</li><li><strong>Resilience and persistence</strong>—you’re comfortable with rejection and see it as a learning opportunity.</li><li>Strong <strong>communication and storytelling skills</strong>—both written and verbal to engage with senior leaders, and handle objections without hesitation.</li><li>A <strong>curious and coachable mindset</strong> with a drive to continuously improve.</li><li>Familiarity with <strong>Salesforce, Outreach, 6Sense </strong>is a plus.</li></ul><p>&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Benefits</strong></p><p><strong>Health + Wellness</strong><br>You’ll have access to generous health, vision, and dental insurance options as well as HealthiestYou, a healthcare service that offers convenient, confidential access to quality doctors 24/7, anytime, anywhere.&nbsp;</p><p><strong>Time Off</strong><br>You'll get a competitive PTO package that includes 20 PTO days, 3 flex days, 4 optional volunteer days, 12 paid holidays, as well as paid parental leave. You got this. We got you.</p><p><strong>Compensation</strong>&nbsp;<br>As this is an incentive compensation role, there is a base salary with annual on target earnings of $65,000-$70,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent on your skills, experience, qualifications, and location, as well as applicable employment laws.</p><p><strong>Location</strong><br>This is a permanent, full-time, fully remote position. Employees living in Indianapolis, IN are welcome to work from our company headquarters.
