This leadership role oversees the end-to-end operations of a national commercial real estate due diligence practice focused on acquisitions. You will guide the delivery of high-impact Property Condition Assessments and related technical reports that inform investment and lending decisions across complex portfolios. Acting at the intersection of operations, technical expertise, and client delivery, you will ensure consistency, quality, and speed across a distributed team. The role carries significant responsibility for financial performance, team leadership, and strategic growth in a fast-paced transaction-driven environment. You will collaborate closely with senior leadership, clients, and internal stakeholders to scale services and enhance operational efficiency. This is a high-visibility position where your decisions directly shape client outcomes, team performance, and business expansion.
Accountabilities:- Lead overall operational execution for a national due diligence practice, ensuring consistent delivery of Property Condition Assessments, Capital Needs Assessments, and Acquisition Property Condition Reports.
- Own full P&L responsibility, including revenue, margins, forecasting, budgeting, backlog management, and resource allocation.
- Define and execute operational and growth strategies, expanding service offerings, client relationships, and geographic reach.
- Manage and develop a distributed team of project managers and technical professionals, setting KPIs, overseeing hiring, onboarding, and performance management.
- Oversee project delivery quality, ensuring compliance with ASTM standards and maintaining high technical and reporting rigor.
- Partner with business development teams on proposals, client engagement, and scope definition for complex acquisition-focused projects.
- Optimize processes, workflows, and vendor networks to improve efficiency, scalability, and client experience.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in commercial real estate consulting, with strong exposure to Property Condition Assessments and acquisition due diligence.
- Proven experience leading multi-location or distributed teams in an operations or consulting environment.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing P&L, forecasting, and operational performance metrics.
- Deep understanding of commercial real estate transaction workflows and stakeholder expectations.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on operational execution in a high-volume, deadline-driven environment.
