Under guidance and supervision of the Assistant Program Manager - Outreach, the Oakland Transportation Coordinator is responsible for the operation of the bus stop in Oakland. This includes managing and moving car seats, check in tables, and other bus supplies. This position is also responsible for coordination and communication with families, for ordering and coordinating bag lunches, and communicating with on site outreach program staff. Customer service, the ability to multi-task and organizational skills are a must! The ideal candidate should be flexible, organized, a quick problem solver, and have experience in Google Workspace. Note: this is the only seasonal OFRC position based in Oakland. This position has set specific work dates and times candidates must be available for. Requires the use of a large, reliable vehicle. 

Dates of Employment: June 2 - August 2, 2025

  • Required Work Dates: This position has required work dates in addition to other work that can be flexibly scheduled. Note that timing is estimated and shifts may be for 2-4 hours each. Please only apply for this position if you will be available for all of the dates and time frames below.

    • Wed, June 11 (8am-noon)

    • June 14 (4pm-8pm)

    • Sat, June 28 (flexible timing)

    • Sun, June 29 (8am-noon)

    • Wed, July 2 (4pm-8pm)

    • Sat, July 5 (flexible timing)

    • Sun, July 6 (8am-noon)

    • Wed, July 9 (4pm-8pm)

    • Tues, July 15 (flexible timing)

    • Wed, July 16 (8am-noon)

    • Sat, July 19 (4pm-8pm)

Pay Range: $27-32 per hour (avg 10-15 hours per week)

Requirements: Driver's License, large vehicle to use for job, ability to lift 50 lbs.

  • The use of your vehicle for work will be reimbursed for mileage. The vehicle needs to be large enough to fit 6-10 car/booster seats in addition to two standard storage tubs, two folding tables (6' folded in half), and two sandwich boards in one trip.

COVID-19 VACCINATION

We require that our on-site staff be fully vaccinated and undergo regular testing in order to provide a safe experience for our campers and staff as well as uninterrupted operations throughout the summer. Staff who are unable to be vaccinated will be required to wear a mask when in any building or within 6’ of others.
