Network Engineer | Lithia & Driveway

Location: Remote

Compensation: The full salary range for this position is $75,000–$120,000 annually. The anticipated starting pay will be determined based on factors such as skills, experience, and internal equity. Final compensation will be established through the interview process in accordance with applicable pay equity and transparency laws. Candidates who qualify may be leveled into a Senior Network Engineer role, with compensation aligned accordingly.

We are seeking a Network Engineer to support the design, stability, and security of our enterprise network environment. This role plays a critical part in maintaining reliable connectivity across corporate and dealership operations while supporting escalated network-related issues. You’ll partner with internal teams and vendors to deliver scalable, secure, and high-performing network solutions.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, configure, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, including routing, switching, and subnetting

  • Support escalated Helpdesk tickets related to network performance and reliability

  • Monitor network devices to ensure uptime, performance, and rapid issue resolution

  • Analyze network traffic and recommend improvements to optimize performance and scalability

  • Implement and maintain network security controls, including firewalls and perimeter protections

  • Develop backup, recovery, and resiliency strategies for network systems

  • Partner with internal teams and third-party vendors to evaluate requirements and solutions

  • Lead technical research and recommend cost-effective network enhancements

  • Provide project updates, documentation, and status reporting to leadership

  • Take ownership of complex issues and follow them through to resolution

  • Maintain current knowledge of emerging technologies and industry best practices

  • Deliver a high level of customer service while embodying Lithia & Driveway’s core values

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred

  • 7+ years of network engineering experience in enterprise environments

  • CCNP certification or equivalent hands-on experience

  • Strong experience with Cisco networking equipment

  • Advanced knowledge of routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF), route convergence, and AS number usage

  • Experience supporting diverse networking platforms (HP, Dell, Brocade, SonicWall, Aruba, Ruckus, etc.)

  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and sense of urgency

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency with MS Office and Visio
