We’re transforming the campground industry, and we’re looking for a Public Parks Outbound Sales Account Executive to help us expand our presence in the municipal (city/county) parks segment across North America. If you’re passionate about parks and driving revenue through innovative technology, we want you on our team!

In this role, you’ll take ownership of the entire sales cycle—from the first touchpoint to closing the deal. You’ll specialize in selling to public parks, working directly with city, county, and municipal park departments. Your expertise in public procurement processes and your ability to adapt to the unique needs of this segment will be critical to your success. This position offers an exciting opportunity to help municipal parks optimize their operations and deliver exceptional guest experiences through our platform.

To thrive in this role, you’ll need to manage a full lead pool, maintain a healthy pipeline, and stay organized to guide opportunities to successful closes. This role requires a consultative sales approach, building strong relationships, and an eagerness to deeply understand the unique needs of municipal park administrators.

Responsibilities

  • Lead generation and prospecting: Identify and engage cold prospects in the municipal parks segment using various channels, including cold calling, email outreach, and networking. Build relationships with city, county, and state-level decision-makers to generate leads and identify new business opportunities.
  • Pipeline development: Develop and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective public park clients. Research and qualify opportunities by understanding decision-makers' roles, budget constraints, and unique needs.
  • Solution selling & positioning: Present and position Campspot as a solution to enhance operations, boost revenue, and improve the guest experience for municipal parks. Lead a consultative sales process by demonstrating expertise in the challenges and priorities of public parks.
  • Sales process management: Manage leads at every stage of the pipeline, ensuring consistent follow-up and progression through the sales funnel. Diligently track lead activity, ensuring every opportunity is captured and addressed.
  • Market insight & advocacy: Stay informed about trends in public parks, industry best practices, and competitor activity. Act as an advocate for municipal parks internally, sharing insights to help refine our product and marketing efforts.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, implementation, and customer success teams to ensure a seamless client experience. Partner with inbound sales and product teams to address municipal park-specific challenges.
  • CRM management: Leverage CRM tools (e.g., HubSpot) to track sales activities, manage client interactions, and report progress toward goals. Provide regular updates on sales performance and contribute to forecasting efforts.

Qualifications

  • Public Parks sales experience: 2+ years of sales experience, preferably in a SaaS environment, with a focus on selling to municipal or government entities
  • Understanding of public procurement processes and experience navigating government sales cycles is highly preferred
  • Experience with Hubspot, Salesforce, and forecasting tools is a plus
  • Has a strong understanding of some sales process (eg, BANT, MEDDIC, etc.) and consistently uses a methodology to hit pipeline generation goals
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Results-driven with a focus on meeting and exceeding sales targets
  • Self-motivated, with a proactive and persistent approach to sales

Compensation and Benefits

  • Base salary: $60k; Commissions eligible with OTE of $110k
  • Competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance options at affordable rates
  • 401(k) plan with employer match
  • Flexible and casual work environment: we offer flexible PTO and a remote-first workplace
  • Employee camping credit to encourage getting outdoors and experiencing our product!
