National Channel Account Development Manager — Woodstock, IL (Hybrid)

Location: Hybrid (3 days/week onsite in Woodstock, IL)
Travel Required: Local and national travel to key partners
Compensation: $75,000 base + variable comp (OTE ~$120,000+)

OWC is seeking a results-driven and strategic National Channel Account Development Manager to develop, manage, and expand relationships with key national channel partners. Leveraging your expertise in account management and sales, you will develop strategic initiatives to ensure long-term partner success and revenue growth for OWC’s innovative computing solutions.

What Will You Be Doing?

Strategic Account Management

  • Act as the primary contact and build strategic, collaborative relationships with national channel partners.
  • Develop and implement tailored account strategies to drive revenue growth and expand OWC's market presence.
  • Build and maintain lasting relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders within partner organizations.

Sales and Business Development

  • Identify new business opportunities within national accounts and pursue upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with internal sales, marketing, and technical teams to develop and execute successful partner initiatives.
  • Provide consistent partner support to drive sales engagement and pipeline generation.
  • Ensure end-user pipeline production of $2M/quarter in net new business.
  • Track, report, and gain market share within the assigned account base.

Partner Enablement

  • Equip channel partners with necessary product knowledge, sales tools, training, and support to facilitate successful selling.
  • Foster deep engagement with partner sales teams to enhance their effectiveness in selling OWC solutions.
  • Ensure OWC products are merchandised effectively and competitively within partner channels.
  • Support and drive successful new product launches and demand generation initiatives.

Performance Tracking and Reporting

  • Monitor, analyze, and report account performance metrics and sales outcomes regularly.
  • Use CRM and other reporting tools to document interactions, manage account activities, and identify areas for continuous improvement.

All-in-all

  • Develop and own the national channel strategy across partners like CDW, SHI, Zones, Dell, Melrose, B&H, Apple/Mac-focused VARs, and more.
  • Be the face of OWC to these partners — drive awareness, trust, and business.
  • Build new channel relationships from scratch and create repeatable sales motion.
  • Collaborate with sales leadership, marketing, and product to align goals and promotions.
  • Build territory and account plans and lead partner QBRs.
  • Own outside sales — including relationship-building, education, and onsite meetings.
  • Serve as a trusted partner to internal teams on pricing, inventory, forecasting, and distributor management.

What You Bring with You

  • 5+ years of proven experience successfully managing and growing strategic national channel accounts.
  • Strong experience and existing relationships with major IT distributors, VARs, or technology channel partners.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong understanding of computing solutions, storage technologies, connectivity, and industry trends.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed to support partners and attend industry events.
  • Proven channel sales experience and relationships within the tech reseller ecosystem.
  • Bonus points for connections to CDW, SHI, Zones, Dell, Melrose, B&H, or Apple resellers.
  • Knowledge of IT hardware, storage solutions, and computing components.
  • Experience working with distributors and channel inventory/pricing management.
  • You’re not afraid of the ground game — you’ll travel, pitch, and get in front of buyers.
  • Self-starter mentality — you get things done without being asked.
  • Ideally based in Chicago area and willing to be in our Woodstock HQ 3x/week.

Compensation Structure for the Position         
This role offers a base salary of up to $75,000 USD per year, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications. It also includes a commission component, with estimated on-target earnings (OTE) of approximately $120,000 USD annually based on individual performance. Final compensation will be determined during the offer process and may vary.
