<p><strong>Location: </strong><span data-teams="true">This position may be performed remotely, but requires the flexibility and willingness to travel as needed.</span></p><p><strong>The Opportunity</strong></p><p>The Movement Disorder Therapeutic Area Lead is responsible for defining and executing the Medical Affairs strategy for Movement Disorder therapeutic area across the product lifecycle—from late-stage clinical development through post-marketing and safety monitoring.</p><p>Working closely with the Head of Global Medical Affairs, you will lead all Medical Affairs enabling functions for their therapeutic area, including operational execution, external vendor oversight, and budget management. You’ll establish and maintain strong relationships with the medical and scientific community, including key opinion leaders and patient advocacy organizations, to support scientific exchange, inform strategy, and identify emerging medical and healthcare trends.</p><p>You’ll collaborate cross-functionally to ensure alignment of the therapeutic area Medical Affairs strategy with overall corporate objectives and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, company policies, and standard operating procedures.</p><p><strong>Primary Responsibilities</strong></p><ul><li>Serve as the Medical Affairs leader for the therapeutic area, both internally and externally, representing Praxis with KOLs, investigators, patient advocacy groups, and at scientific and industry forums.</li><li>Lead the development and execution of integrated medical brand and disease-state strategies, including advisory boards, congress planning and execution, field medical tactics, publication strategy, and medical review activities.</li><li>Proactively build and manage relationships with healthcare professionals, academic institutions, and patient advocacy organizations relevant to the therapeutic area.</li><li>Partner cross-functionally with Marketing, Business Insights, Business Development, Finance, Legal, and other functions to support and advance corporate strategic objectives.</li><li>Develop and execute Medical Affairs plans, including publication planning, medical advisory boards, educational programs, training initiatives, and scientific conferences.</li><li>Lead the development, execution, and governance of Investigator-Initiated Studies (IIS) and company-sponsored research strategies.</li><li>Oversee external vendors and operational activities to ensure timely, high-quality, and compliant execution.</li></ul><p><strong><br>Qualifications and Key Success Factors</strong></p><ul><li>Advanced degree (MD or DO) with 10+ years of experience in Medical Affairs and/or clinical research; <strong>Neurologist preferred</strong>.</li><li>Demonstrated leadership experience in Medical Affairs or Clinical Research with a consistent record of high performance.</li><li>Strong people leadership, collaboration, and team-building skills.</li><li>Proven ability to organize and lead scientific advisory panels and to clearly communicate complex scientific and medical information to internal and external stakeholders.</li><li>Solid understanding of U.S. regulations governing Medical Affairs activities.</li><li>High intellectual curiosity with an innovative, problem-solving mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile environment.</li><li>Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust-based relationships and foster diversity, equity, and inclusion.</li><li>Highly organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven, with a strong commitment to quality and compliance.</li><li>Ability to lead by example, develop talent, build strong cross-functional partnerships, and foster a collaborative, high-performing culture.</li><li>The physical and mental requirements of our roles include but are not limited to regular use of a computer, devices or other office equipment, clear communication, and occasional movement.
