Join us, and help redefine how the world’s most innovative lenders do business.</p></div><p>We’re looking for a <strong>Mortgage Forward-Deployed Engineer (FDE)</strong> to join our team and be the bridge between our product and our customers. This is not your standard engineering role, you’ll be out in the field, working directly with clients, writing production code, and helping them reimagine how they run their business with our platform. You will be working directly with our Account Management team, implementation team and onboarding team. This role reports to the VP of Account Management.</p><p>As an FDE, you’ll wear different hats: engineer, architect, and trusted advisor. One day you might be prototyping a custom integration; the next, you’re running a proof-of-value with a C-suite exec; the next, you’re feeding back product insights that shape the roadmap. This role will report to our Lead Forward-Deployed Engineer and be a part of the Account Management team.</p><h4> </h4><p><strong>What you'll do:</strong></p><ul><li>Act as a <strong>technical expert and trusted advisor</strong> during the post-sales process, embed with customer teams to understand their workflows and demonstrate how Ocrolus’ technology improves efficiency in mortgage origination.</li><li>Review and consult on technical solutions, APIs, microservices, data pipelines, and integrations that solve real business problems.</li><li>Build and support technical solutions and integrations for mortgage clients using Ocrolus, Encompass, and other POS/LOS mortgage platforms.</li><li>Run proof-of-concepts and proof-of-value engagements that demonstrate ROI fast.</li><li>Troubleshoot gnarly technical issues in live environments and get things back on track.</li><li>Partner with the Account Management and Product teams to deliver value, and influence the roadmap.</li><li>Travel occasionally (~30–50%) to customer sites and industry events</li></ul><h4> </h4><p><strong>Who we're looking for: (Skill Sets and Qualifications)</strong></p><ul><li>3+ years of experience in software engineering, solutions engineering, or technical consulting.</li><li>3+ years of a background in mortgage, or lending workflows.</li><li>Strong understanding and experience with Encompass</li><li>Strong consultative sales/account management approach—able to map technology to business challenges and drive change management conversations.</li><li>Excellent communication and presentation skills, with experience engaging senior mortgage executives.</li><li>Backend: Python; APIs; Encompass Developer Connect; SQL.</li><li>Frontend: React/TypeScript; JavaScript with ICE Secure Scripting Framework (SSF) for Encompass custom form and workflow logic.</li><li>Supporting: Familiarity with mortgage LOS/POS platforms (Encompass, Blend, SimpleNexus, Floify); Git; cloud basics (AWS/Azure).</li><li>Thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments where you figure it out and get it done.</li></ul><h4> </h4><p><strong>Nice to Have:</strong></p><ul><li>Experience with SaaS integrations or loan origination systems.</li><li>Additional mortgage LOS/POS experience </li><li>Exposure to AI/ML or generative AI.</li></ul><p> </p><h3><strong>Why You’ll Love It Here</strong></h3><ul><li>You’ll have <strong>ownership from day one</strong>, our FDEs lead projects end-to-end.</li><li>You’ll work directly with customers and see the immediate impact of what you build.</li><li>You’ll shape the product by bringing the voice of the customer straight to engineering.</li><li>You’ll work directly with a team focused on creating an excellent client experience</li><li>You’ll have fun working with a highly proactive, collaborative team</li></ul><h4> </h4><p><strong>Note:</strong></p><p>The full-time salary range for this role is between <span data-sheets-value="{"1":3,"3":150000}" data-sheets-userformat="{"2":12291,"3":{"1":4,"2":"\"$\"#,##0.00"},"4":{"1":2,"2":15597032},"15":"Calibri","16":12}">$150,000 </span>- $170,000 + commission + equity + benefits.
