Together, we'll ask "why not?" and help reengineer the future of biopharma.</p><h3><u>What You'll Do</u></h3><p>The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is a field-based scientific expert responsible for communicating with a variety of internal and external stakeholders and is a core member of the Medical Affairs Team focused on BBP-418, potentially the first oral treatment for patients with Limb Girdle Muscular Dystrophy type 2I/R9 (FKRP-related) (LGMD2I/R9).</p><p><span style="font-size: 14px;">The MSL will be experienced working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment, specifically with product launch planning, rare disorders, or underdiagnosed patient populations. This includes developing and executing a comprehensive territory medical plan, attending conferences, delivering scientific presentations,</span> and scientific exchange with physicians and other healthcare providers. This role will be critical to <span style="font-size: 14px;">cultivating relationships and establishing professional collaborations with</span> <span style="font-size: 14px;">academic researchers, therapeutic area leaders, relevant research centers, organizations, and clinical care teams.</span></p><h3><u>Responsibilities</u></h3><ul><li><span style="font-size: 14px;">Developing relationships with various healthcare professionals, and providing them with credible, fair, balanced, scientific information</span></li><li><span style="font-size: 14px;">Be a major source of balanced medical information for HCPs and will be skilled in issues management and addressing unsolicited questions about safety and off-label use of products based on available scientific data</span></li><li><span style="font-size: 14px;">Territory planning, identifying new external stakeholders, and understanding therapeutic area educational and data gaps in the community will be key activities. This plan may be dynamic with respect to the molecule, molecule life-cycle, therapeutic area, and territory. The MSL will liaise with key internal stakeholders to build a comprehensive action-oriented plan</span></li><li><span style="font-size: 14px;">Expected to become a therapeutic area and product expert. This will be evidenced by regular review of relevant literature and participation in scientific congresses and conferences, including training sessions, to establish and maintain an up-to-date knowledge base</span></li><li><span style="font-size: 14px;">Be instrumental in internal training and communication. Knowledge sharing, including KOL and site profiling, and education both internally and externally will be a key area of responsibility</span></li><li><span style="font-size: 14px;">Assist in the identification of potential investigators and research projects. This may include assistance with investigator-sponsored trial process, sponsored study site identification, recruitment strategies, and collaboration with clinical operations</span></li></ul><h3><u>Where You'll Work</u></h3><p><em>This is a field-based position based in the United States with 50-60% travel anticipated for conference attendance, KOL meetings, speaker program attendance.</em></p><h3><u>Who You Are</u></h3><ul><li><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: 14px;">Candidates with a PharmD, Ph.D., MD, Genetic Counseling, as well as other advanced healthcare degrees or relevant experience</span></span></li><li><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: 14px;">3+ years of medical affairs or field medical experience with a verifiable record of high performance is preferred, or at least 2 years of other relevant clinical or healthcare experience will be considered</span></span></li><li><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: 14px;">Prior experience in rare diseases, neuromuscular or neurology is preferred</span></span></li><li><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: 14px;">Excellent interpersonal communication and presentation skills (including networking) to participate in a scientific dialogue with KOLs and researchers</span></span></li><li><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: 14px;">Excellent teaching skills and ability to present and discuss scientific material clearly and concisely</span></span></li><li><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-size: 14px;">Proven ability to create and sustain relationships with industry leaders</span></span></li><li><span style="font-size: 14px;">Travel 50-60% of the time depending on territory size; evening and weekend work will be involved with some variation based upon the demands of the business imperatives</span></li></ul><h3><u>Rewarding Those Who Make the Mission Possible</u></h3><p>We have high expectations for our team members.
